How to RESTORE iPhone / iPod Touch. FIX FREEZING AND ERRORS!

i bought an ipod touch 3rd gen from my brother. he had previously done a hack im sure everyone knows abotu called jailbreak. well i tried to reset the itouch and now it stays on the little apple with the black background and it doesn't even start... what should i do ?

Hi, your video was awsome, but it didnt helped me. I apeared to have the same problem. One nice day my iPhone just stocked and turned off. Ater trying to open it - the apple sign showed of and nothing more happened :-( than i restarted it by holding both buttons (home and power off) at the same time and all i got was apple again :-( after a few times trying it - it showed me empty battery - so i though maybe my battery is done and finish - so i ordered a new one, switched for a new battery

Ater doing what you have done - loading battery showed up on my screen instead of apple and since than just the charging battery sign is showing and nothing more happens. But my battery is new and it just showes it charges - but it doesnt (same was before i ordered the new battery) - dont know what to do and cant afford expensive repairs :-( PLEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE HELP ME :-( iLove my iPhone so much and have all the pictures inside

I do this, then start the restore process. When the iPhone screen shows a black background with an apple logo, and beneath that there is a loading bar that never moves past a few centimeters. @IAMnickTTA, yes all I had to do was turn on Windows Firewall which I had turned off when installing Norton antivirus, after that my restore didn't freeze and had no problems

After 8 hours of googling I finally figured it out, I had to enable Windows firewalls which I had previously disabled because Norton had instructed me to. Restoring worked like a charm as soon as I had done that.

Hi there, i get right up to the stage where it says "restoring iPhone software" and it loads about 1/4 of the way and then freezes, I left it like that for 4 hours hoping it was just gonna take a while but no go. It will remove you jailbreak, because your restoring it to its factory settings soo.. If you want to keep your jailbreak then dont restore it. Although you can re-install jailbreak after restoring it. It might help but i dont know.
