When Obama was born he was not a "natural born citizen" since both parents of a child must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in order for the child to be a "natural born" citizen. In addition to the requirement as to the parents citizenship status, the child must also be born in the USA. Obama may be a "born citizen" depending on the evidence in Hawaii. But "born" is NOT synonymous with "natural born".

When Obama was born he was not a "natural born citizen" since both parents of a child must be citizens at the time of birth of the child in order for the child to be a "natural born" citizen. In addition to the requirement as to the parents citizenship status, the child must also be born in the USA. Obama may be a "born citizen" depending on the evidence in Hawaii. But "born" is NOT synonymous with "natural born".

The COLB states he was born in Honolulu! It's authenticity has been vouched for in multiple places several times, including by the very state agency that issued the document. It's prima facie evidence in any court proceeding.

Actually no. Obama himself released the "short form" but Hawaii has not released anything save confirmation--which is all they are REQUIRED and all they are ALLOWED by state law to do. The "long form" remains in Hawaii's archives, as per state law. The Constitution requires state records be given the benefit of the doubt. Period. Legally, that closes the matter. Look it up as a matter of law. Why hold Obama to a different standard than Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, etc.?

Hawaii DID confirm his birth there as part of the election process (look it up). Chester A. Arthur's father was Irish. Woodrow Wilson's mother was British. Both of Andrew Jackson's parents were Irish, as were James Buchanan's. Obama's mother is a US citizen & he was born on US soil, according to every document ever found, including announcements in newspapers at the time. Facts, easy enough to confirm, if you actually look.

According to the Constitution, the official documents of each state must be honored. Period. You DON'T have a right to see his documents as a matter of state law. It isn't just Obama's records but EVERYONE's records. You don't have a right to see George Bush's birth certificate either. And the President's family said EXPLICITLY that Obama's father was born in Kenya, not Obama himself. Check original sources, not right-wing blogs.

No, a natural born citizen means that you have to be born in the US. If two illegal aliens cross the border and the mother gives birth in the US, the child is now an American citizen. The parents are not, but the child is. Whether his mother was old enough to be counted as a legal citizen, his being born in Hawaii grants him natural born citizenship. Google the Nationality Acts and see.

That's really nice but, the actual hospital record would be more compelling evidence then a news paper announcement. And of course it was based on "hospital records". The application for Obama's COLB would have been submitted to a hospital whether or not Obama was actually born their.
You need to be more through in your research before you go off calling everyone "fringe" and "Obamanot", whatever that is. lol

The statute (§338-17.8) written allowing 4 parents of foreign born children born 2 obtain a COLB was NOT written UNTIL 1982. The abstract pastime of anti-Obama (Obamanots) Americans who just can't deal with the outcome of November's election is 2 sling any crap they can till they get it to stick.

She just want to make Obama an American citizen which is important for a lot of reasons. I doubt she ever even saw the announcement in the news paper. When an American woman walks into an American hospital with a newborn baby and asks for an application for COLB, the hospital staff have no way of knowing whether the baby was delivered across the street or halfway around the world. She can say whatever she wants and they just have to take her word for it. Only the vault BC can prove it.

To believe your story Piscivorus she went to a 3rd world country she had never been to for the birth, then immediately took a 24+ hour journey back to walk into that hospital and get the fastest birth registration of any you can find in HI. Obama was an American once he was born to an American Mom even if in Kenya. She had to do that whole scam JUST to make sure he was natural born to be President.
