Hi simolui, I would get her to the vet for a fecal check to see if she has worms, giardia or coccidia. Giardia and coccidia often cause watery stool in kittens. I have some right now that are on albon and metronidazole for those reasons. Also, Bengals and Savannah cats often NEED to be on a raw meat diet for digestive problems. Many of them just do not do good on processed cat food.

@jreilly555 Yes, Chompers dad is a Bengal. Depending on the generation and % of serval, they can get pretty big, yes, though size is just one of many traits we look for in the breed. Many breeders have over emphasized size, but in reality, only f1/f2 generations are very large. Once oyu get down to the f3 and so on, you often will get a pretty standard sized cat. The goal is to get a servally looking cat, regardless of size. Chompers had many traits that we are not looking for in the breed.

Yes, he is the same genetically, as what one breeder had been marketing as an "Ashera Cat." However, since he was bred by a Savannah Cat breeder, his price tag was about 1/10th of that which the Ashera Cat breeder had been asking for. Im very happy with Chompers as a pet and he has been a rewarding companion. Once I have a functional camera again, I will post new videos of Chompers. Thanks for the comment.

Hybrid species, having been arranged by man, can't really be considered "threatened."

Ashera cats were supposed to be a mix including Serval, Asian Leopard, and domestic. It was proven to be a scam when several "Ashera" cats were found by DNA testing to be the exact cats the Lifestyle pets guy had bought from a Savanna breeder. He just claimed to have created a new breed and sold them for ten times what he, or anyone, could bu them for. He then changed his name and started a new company.

no, that was all bull. the guy who was selling the so-called "ashera" cats has been actually selling savannah cats AS ashera. he was most recently busted by netherlands customs police when he tried to ship them to that country. DNA testing proved that they were the same cats aquired from a licensed savannah breeder in the united states.

A savannah is a hybrid descended from a serval. I don't think it is legal to own a serval in many countries.

A serval is too wild anyway. But a savannah is good in a domestic setting.

Yes, though some breeders have also mixed Bengal with Serval, like in the case of Chompers. Not to mislead, Bengals ARE domestic cats, but they do have a teensy tiny bit of Asian Leopard Cat in them. Well, some have varying degrees of ALC. So, youre right, the SV is a Serval-cat. Eventually the breed will be just like Bengals though, in the manner in which they are considered by the cat registries. At the moment they are considered to be an "advanced new breed" by TICA.
