Mac's isn't virus free just crackers are not willing to bother with them cause mac is being used from 15% of people that uses a computer so there is no point of making a virus that will infect 15% of computers when in the same time and with the same effort you can infect 75% (i think 10% belongs to Linux :-))

And that's all about I'm a coder , i code something useful (smth like a youtube vid downloader) for you to use it on your mac, you run it and it must be connected to download a vid so you allow it and it sends all of your info on my mail. Chrome OS is only another lightweight Linux distro optimised for netbooks. There is many others like Moblin, Jolicloud, Ubuntu Remix, Puppy Linux. Some PCs now come bundled with a lightweight Linux distro in addition to Windows such as Sony's InstantOn.

It certainly wont be a Windows or Mac killer for serious heavyweight stuff, not in the foreseeable.

I wouldn't be sure with that theory. Vista is nothing like apple, ITS CRAP WITH THE WRONG COMPUTER, unlike Mac OSX which is sold with Macbooks/Macs. Windows 7 however, is an interesting OS. It's more user friendly than linux, though linux and Win 7 does have simmilarities, but who can blame Microsoft for slightly copying small things from cool OS's.

Actually Vista Basic Works fine on my Aspire 5315. 2GB of RAM, 320 GIG hard drive. Crap Graphics though, but fancy graphics isn't needed for basic.

Vista is actually pretty decant once you do all the tweaking and get it to SP2 but that's that problem with it...people just can't get of their butt to do the tweaking bit. I was a bit unimpressed with win7 and their attempt to become more user friendly and to increase usability but the joke bit to it all is that when they were designing win7 Microsoft was looking to linux in their attempt to correct the "bloating" issues.

Mac is NOT virus free, and if this is I'll be greatly surprised. Just because the chances of you getting a virus on a Mac is extremely unlikely, doesn't mean it can't happen. People who program viruses know a large majority of computer users are on windows, so that's what they program their viruses/trojans for. The mere fact someone CAN make an application for a mac, means they can use that application to do anything they want to the user's computer. Why do you think Mac anti-viruses exist?

Well the increase proves my point that apple is starting to get slack in it security and focusing to much on "eye candy" which is now causing so many issues with the system.
