Actually I dont think it sounds that bad. Thats prolly the best sounding ELH I have heard.

You really do not gain as much as people boast about by switching to ELH, and if anything you sacarfice low to midrange for a marginal increase in top end. Plus its already been shown by multiple tuners that spool up suffers as well. At best your making a few hp more in the top end over UEL with a proper tune and all else being equal.

Plus you lose that classic sound, not worth it in my opinion.

@Discostar12 It's not a huge gain but if you're going to do it, might as well get the most out of it. You lose a little low end with an equal length but if you're building the car for road racing then it's part of the powerband you'll ever see on track. Overall equal length headers have more area under the curve and lower EGTs too.

I personally would just get it tuned and keep the unequal so you get the subaru boxer rumble but thats just me lol... are you making that a time attack car or track car because i love the suspension work you got going on back there!!

@Subydude1991 I put the EL headers for HP gains. The car was also tuned. At that time I was making something like 310whp and almost 370wtq. Last year I added a stock location ATP 3071 turbo and a Cosworth intake manifold and FMIC. On race gas tune I was making 390whp/420wtq on pump gas.

I also added a Cosworth EJ25 but we were still facing a lot of issues with reliability, cooling. It got annoying to where I ended up selling the car. I'm now building a track car S2000.

Sounds like you had a nice car going, its too bad you had lots of issues. The s2000 should be a blast!! You have any videos of that?

@Subydude1991 Cosworth makes good motors, but is kind of overpriced. The thing is, it's so hard to find a good motor builder. So to clarify, it's not that the Cosworth motor had any problems. We just had a lot of other kinds of problems like the timing belt skipping once, lots of overheating, etc.

I don't have any videos of the S2000 yet but I will soon! I'm going to Buttonwillow at the end of the month to shake it down. I just got 17x9 +54 Volk CE28s in matte black with 255/40/17 RE-11 tire.
