  • Pink Floyd has deep roots to the history of WWII

  • on Feb 21, 2007

  • Who is the SUCKER that not like this? PUTO... COMELA!

  • To those who dislike this, GTFO. This song is amazing.

  • Rol-on awesome

  • I don't think any band has ever had as good a 10-year run as Pink Floyd in the 70's. It's hard to believe they actually made 4 such masterpieces in that time and capped them off with THIS. Gilmour on guitar and Waters on SARCASM is utter victory.

  • jó zene

  • I'm gunna sing this song to my children when they can't sleep, then shred their cute little faces off. Can't wait to be a dad!

  • oh my god the solo on this song is awsome!!!!!!!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs."

  • This is an awesome song....I saw the wall a few months back.. IT WAS AWESOME!!

  • This song makes my anal bleed... i love pink floyd!

  • i died 3 times listening to this song

  • 14 people are on thin ice

  • @gearsofpinkfloyd Shut up with that unfunny, overused joke.

  • i like that solo David Gilmore is an awesome guitarist

  • @megadethfan1723 yes, you are absolutely wright. He is just awesome.

  • @alexnagel81 1 of the best ever

  • @alexnagel81 dude...that pun ruined my day

  • If you're going to argue about Syd Barrett at least spell his name right..

  • I hate it when i search for the Floyd and that stupid P!nk person comes up.

  • 14 people need a bullet???

  • fuck yea... I WAS #420 who liked this vid/...cool

  • im blazing it to the wall right now , aint no better combo except if its a wakeNbake

  • One of my favs. It has such power and emotion behind it. It's sad that there are only a handful of artists like that anymore, most of them Rappers. Rock has died, but it hasn't been forgotten, and thats the important thing.

  • YOU CANT BEAT PINK FLODY

  • @94joeydjr Except for with Pink Floyd lol. :P

  • This movie should be played in high schools everywhere and be apart of the curriculum. You'd be surprised as to how many people can actually relate to this film and not even fully realize it.

  • @zenophas I'm currently using this as a related text for my final Year 12 exams. I watched this about two years ago, made your realisation and went fuck it, i'll use it :p

  • David Gilmour's solo are always awesome

  • @RnRolla47 david is awesome, but you know roger waters wrote must of the stuff david did, songs and lyrics. Roger made pink floyd why they are, david kept it going

  • @john2006nc Sure, but he copped all his melodies from Sid. Touche'

Listen to "The Madcat Laughs" for proof.

  • @Evele1First of all, it's called "The Madcap Laughs", not the 'madcat'...And yes, Sid wrote many of the original songs but so did Roger and even Nick and Rick....heard "Paintbox"? Please name one melody he ripped off from Sid and I will shut up. Honestly see absolutely NO relation between Floyd w/ Sid and Floyd post Sid, other than his madness being an inspiration for lyrics. Two completely different sounds, two completely different ideas and motives musically.

  • @hammondthomasc why does it matter they're all amazing musicians

  • love this one

  • 14 people need to shoot themselves

  • class tune

  • @KATYAMUSIC

got my tickets to the Tacoma, Wa show in the pre-sale. i can't wait!

  • PF's art is unbelievable!

  • fuck the Zionists who create the wars!

  • EPIC!!!

  • My favorite song from the Wall the Movie....It gave me such a sense of overwhelming emotions....Very touching song..I wish they still made movies like these...So much meaning and emotions, you do not see such movies anymore...This is an amazing song..

  • so quiet

  • What is amazing about this video to me is it shows even as much as Pink absolutely despised everything about his life and was incredibly better about the whole thing of it, and maybe even despised life itself, he still thought it worth it to fight drowning. It really does a lot to me to show a glimpse of how tormented he really is before you even really get into the movie.

  • Praise the motherfucking war.

  • @FishieJoseph Praise the motherfucking war.

This song is about sub-consciousness. Studies say that 6/7 out of the actions people do are done subconsciously. Think of it as an iceberg. Only 1/7 of the iceberg is outside the water. The problem is, for Mr Pink, his iceberg sinks at 1:47 hence his drowning.

  • bring back acid and youle have ur good no great music again..i remember thinking this shit up in the first twenty minutes after droping.....acid!

  • @whomanles That is true, on acid you can come up with some pretty amazing stuff.....I wish I had some liquid acid...lol

  • I LOVE mp3iffy it WORKS just google mp3iffy.

  • bob geldof + pink floyd = epicness

  • @ABFan19 win

  • Tupac would cry at the state of modern rap.

  • Roger Waters in concert 2010 to 2011 touring the world LOL I got my ticket.:D

  • why argue over who in Pink Floyd was right or wrong? Just like the band and appreciate it for what it is- an amazing band, almost if not every song of whom is, was, and always will be an amazing classic. They're ALL good, the members... regardless of disputes between each other

  • there was only one good war, the one against Hitler, the rest is a huge waste of lives and energy

  • @KillahGreenBud man... that war killed millions- not only in the camps. NO war was ever good... or ever will be. War, when you think about it, is a pretty silly thing in the first place... an evil, horrible thing with no upshots in the long run

  • My favorite song off the album.

How come we can't have great movies like The Wall and Rocky Horror Picture Show?

  • @gunsnroses742 I so agree with ya!!Music in general is shit now days and it will never be the same!!

  • @gunsnroses742 your favorite song?! how can you have a favorite song or album of pink floyd!?!! i get confused choosing the best song of pink floyd, they are all best songs!!

  • @gunsnroses742 the movie was awesome. only 2 things wrong with it. i didn't like the actor singing the songs and if you watch it on tv not dvd the FCC butcher it. they tok songs out and part of songs (the trial and empty spaces)

  • @midge002 Are you retarded? Bob Geldof was the shiznits in the whole entire video of the wall dude.

But i do agree with you on the BUTCHERING part of the wall. So uncalled for.

  • @gunsnroses742 be realistic. all good things are mortal.

  • @azurenscens What a silly statement. Define good. Mortals live in the universe. Is the universe mortal?

  • @CK3890 i have no idea what you're talking about. all i was saying is that good things don't last forever. hence the music of the 60s, writers like Bukowski, flourishing polar bears, pink floyd, etc. don't get all philisophically argumentative, trollboy. i didn't come here to dig in that trashcan.

  • @azurenscens HAHAHAHA my God that comment was funny. I didn't argue, I just critiqued your statement assumptionboy. Go fuck ya mother.

  • Comment removed

  • @CK3890 lol great criticism. you're truly a scholar

  • @azurenscens Thank you. I've been waiting all my life for someone to say those sweet words. Finally my scholastic efforts have come to fruition!

  • @gunsnroses742 Rocky Horror is Awesome :D

  • Actually Roger Waters is a dick, why do you think the other founding members Richard Wright and Nick Mason reformed with Dave Gilmour - Roger was the reason they split and nearly went bankrupt. The Wall is a good album but it nearly ruined the band - Dark Side of the Moon that is a legend album, Time is a classic, one of PFs best!!!!

  • @hammettsnugo I agree with you on the fact that he made us lose the "true" Pink floyd but the Wall is not just a good album it's one of the greatest album of all time. For me it is even better than Dark Side of the Moon.

  • @benemles for me the wall is the best album ever

  • ROGER THEB GREATEST am i really dying

  • Roger the true heart of Floyd after Syd Dave just took advantage

  • bobs the man in this film

  • This song is awesome there's no words to how much i love this song...

  • In Tool's Aenima Towards the end, they totally rip the guitar from this song.

  • momma loves her baby

    and daddy loves U2.

  • THE MISSION UK IS SO MUCH BETTER

  • fuck the evil of humans nature!

  • @Patriol666 Human nature doesnt exist.

  • Have a look at my humble solo

  • straight as in sober.....

  • miticaaaaa!!!!!

  • I first saw this movie in college in '89 and loved it, but i was straight. Checked it out the next night under different circumstances and it all made sense:)

  • @MrMadaicseason straight as in straight edge? cause this song ahs nothign to do with bieng gay and i dont see how bieng gay would change the interpretation?

  • @solodude45 straight as in sober ;)

  • INCREIBLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Pure genious.. Pink floyd greatest fucking band of all time.

  • The Wall in it's entirety is by far one of the best movies out there, and likewise so is this scene. It starts off gentle and slow, with a somewhat somber feeling to it, then slightly escalates (1:01), and finally, with only a drum roll and scene change as a warning (1:45), bursts into faster, heavier music, coupled in the most perfect way with fast and intense imagery, and a lack of lyrics which draws attention to the wonderful instrumentals and to the video.

    I love Pink Floyd.

  • I love Pink Floyd, but The Wall is not one of the best movies out there. It's good. It's better with some beer, pot, and acid.

  • you know whats the funny thing about this song... that it tells the most absolute truth, that at some point in life the ice in which we are skating (innocence) will break and we must not be surprised by it and we must be prepared even though we always get surprised and are never ready

  • This is the greatest movie ever written,

  • Absolutely fuckin true...but let us mention the music as well!

  • @LeslieWolf71

i had to watch high-school musical with my cousins a while back. i wanted to throw up. music has declined so much. they just dont make movies like this anymore

  • so true! amazing masterpiece for ever!

  • @AgeOfReclamation Aguante High Scholl Musical AJAJAJAJAJAJAJ

  • @AgeOfReclamation Ya they do? they made shitty movies back then too.

  • @AgeOfReclamation lol. They NEVER made movies like this =P This is one of a kind. Only Pink Floyd could come up with something like this.

  • @AgeOfReclamation

Don't worry about it... I think most know that high-school musicals are for valley girls and dorks.

    Floyd is real.

  • @AgeOfReclamation

    music with feelings

  • @AgeOfReclamation i wold flip out and smash the dvd and trow in this vhs

  • @AgeOfReclamation Don't feel too bad. They didn't make movies like this before, either.

  • @AgeOfReclamation This movie was so inspiring to me. You're so right.

  • @AgeOfReclamation yes they do your just to foolish to find them

requiem of a dream was banging

  • i know right!!!!!!!!!

  • David Gilmour can shred the hell out of a guitar

  • @jneil2007 shredding's for noobs... he has a more advanced bluesy style

  • IT'S RICHARD STARKEY

    HAAAAIIII BOIZ

  • fuck your life

  • Comment removed

  • never get tired of hearing this

  • FUCK THE WAR!

  • you want some war-babies? ok, then fuck it...

we need peace for war not war for peace ;)

  • @rinotrip What war?

  • @rinotrip you tell em.

  • @rinotrip yeah fuck the war! It's not like it did anything for us! Hey wait...

  • @rinotrip Bess the God and SOS us

  • @rinotrip do you know anything about war? or why wars happen etc, don't let young adolecent teenage angst go to your little head.

  • Thanks for the post, I ♥ it!

  • You forgot about the beatles too. Lennon and McCartney, two great lead singers.

  • hell, every member of the beatles was an amazing lead singer

  • even Ringo? dont recall him being a lead anything.

  • @larryoduncan

Octopus's Garden, With a Little Help From my Friends, Boys, I Wanna Be Your Man, Matchbox, Honey Dont, What Goes On, Act Naturally, Yellow Submarine, Dont Pass Me By. i personally like the first two best.

  • lol exactly,Pink Floyd is the greatest band ever

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • Godliness

  • Anybody notice there are really no newer bands now, that have 2 lead singers? Pink Floyd, early Journey, and early Genesis. Oh, and the Eagles. That is all I can think of. I think 2 lead singers is cool.

  • theres The Goo Goo Dolls ... and sometimes in Green Day the drummer Tre Cool will do some lead singing, like in Homecoming

  • Don't forget the Cars and Fleetwood Mac.

  • Two (or more) lead singers, two song writers, two titanic egos. They eventually clash and the band falls apart. So went the Beatles and Floyd and I am sure others.

  • yeah, but they had a fucking great run that most bans can only hope to acheive, eh?

  • check out Menomena. They switch off singers and are one of my favorite bands.

  • the ants and early taking back sunday

  • i believe boston had a few lead singers.

  • your wrong

  • Yup exactly...

  • This seems to be what the world is going through today!

  • Don't be surprised when a crack in the Ice appears under your feet; you slip out of your depth and out of your mind, with your fear flowing out from behind you, as you claw the Thin Ice.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaah tom and jerry on t.v.

now when i watch tom and jerry i think of the awsome song

  • LMFAO David Bowie...awesssome, he's good now doubt, but without a doubt no where near to the overall talent of Pink Floyd, mostly Roger Waters for giving us the genius that is The Wall

  • Bowie wasn't in the wall dipshit get your facts straight

  • If you should go skating on the thin ice of life... man those are deep words.

  • Great!!!

  • Pink Floyd wrote "Dogs".

  • David makes the best guitar solos the best in my opinion one of my all time favourite solos this song

  • oooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooo oooooooooooooo babe. haha

  • Yes!!

  • or we could just listen to the music...?

  • yes, peace yet first we must find truth.

zeitgeist movie a decent starting place.

  • Amazing this song!! awesome!!

Congratulations for the british old scholl of rock!!

  • I just started listening to the first half of the wall, and now I'm getting sucked into it. Excellent song.

  • awesome ! 5/5

  • this song is so sad... but awesome

  • war is a bad siruation regardles what the reason. if there is one my grandad lost his life to those yellow bastards the italians the one who shit out in ww2.

war bringings hate. nobody can do nothing about it

  • Something wrong with my people or the men from my country who fought like your own grandad?

  • Dont compare your fascist grandfather to the brave British Soldiers who forced fascist Italy to capitulate. Your grandfather was serving a fascist tyrant, a dictator. Mine fought for the values of humanity, freedom and democracy. Theres a very clear difference!

  • zeitgeist movie...

you have learned/chosen to believe lies..

  • can you prove it to be lies ?

  • The burden of evidence lies with you and the other conspiracy theorists.

  • So again, can you prove it ?

  • Oh my God.

    You are actually retarded.

Go bang your head off a wall somewhere.

  • I wonder which one of us is really retardet, cause it seems you go around talking shit without any arguments at all and yet call other people retards. Peace and good luck:)

  • "retardet"

    : )

  • Unusualsuspect, he stayed on Italy's original side for a very simple reason: he predicted Italy's changing of sides to be shameful for the country. He knew in the future Italy would have been seen as a cowardly and dishonoured country. He fought on that side to demonstrate what an Italian can do, even though he knew he was on the wrong side. He fought on that side to prevent the world and people like you from saying such things and hating and insulting the country he loved. I can tell he failed.

  • DannyNicloa, actually he didnt fail, my Grandfather told me how bravely some Italian soldiers fought. Also The Italians killed Mussolini, proving that they didn't like what he stood for. Italy is a great country, it has given the world alot of great art and literature and philosopy. Modern Italy is a beautiful place.

  • Thanks for your open mind. I anyhow have another grandad who changed to the allied side after the 1943 armistice. I believe there are no cowardly nations in general. Politician's decitions differ greatly from the bravery of simple soldiers. Generalising a population is foolish: this is also why tragedies like the Holocaust started. I still get angry to that old joke: "Smallest book ever: Italian heroes"...whoever laughs to that joke should have a look to the Italian graveyard out of El Alamein.

  • no cowardly nations? (france)

    hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • the italians killed mussolini proving they are fickle and would change side once they lost

  • ...the partisans managed to capture and kill him a week before the war in Italy was over.

  • Italy is a country that never succeded to learn his own history... and that's why now we have such a disastered country. Peace :D

  • "Dragging behind you the silent reproach of a million tear-stained eyes" this is a metaphor of the fallen in the world wars. According to my interpretation, the song is also telling us never to forget them. Another interpretation could be that even if we think our lives our rotten, those who have lived and died in the wars had an even more rotten life whatsoever. Also, the silent reproach makes us suffer because we mourn their loss, just like Pink mourns his dad

  • Actually, Pink Floyd is extremely antiwar in this album. The video for "Goodbye Blue Sky" is extremely anti-war.

  • song so awesome
