Actually, I had a video of Poor Thing (before it was taken down) and some people who initially didn't like Hermione as Mrs. Lovett admitted how well I synced them together. All a matter of preference, I suppose.
Besides, I was doing my Sweeney cast in accordance to how the Harry Potter story matched (e.g. Lily being Lucy to Snape's Sweeney) and since Nellie and Hermione are both lead roles...well, why not?
finally, a harry potter/sweeney todd video that uses the ballad of sweeney todd. Do you have the NY Philharmonic Sweeney Todd in Concert recording of Sweeney Todd? Although I have been used to the original broadway cast recording and 2005 revival recording, George Hearn is still one of two favorite sweeneys (Johnny Depp is the other favorite). I really hate Len Cariou.
I don't have it. This is from the 2001 San Francisco Concert. There is a link in the description.
George Hearn *is* Sweeney. Plain and simple. In fact, he is the Sweeney in this song. I will use Johnny songs, sometimes. I'm growing fond of him. :-)
Oh, I didn't know you could get audio recording from that. I thought the NY Philharmonic Concert was the only audio recording and the San Francisco the video one.
This was the first Sweeney Todd related thing I ever watched so I watched it again!

I think that Hermoine shouldn't have been Mrs. Lovett, but great casting anyway :)

Yeah. Why not?

Mrs. Lovett's an immoral old woman who has no qualms about baking humans into pies? I can't visualize Hermione as immoral.

True, true. But that's what makes this fun!

I see that you are going to do songs from Sweeney Todd. Which songs are they?

then again, it would probably explain the applause when Sweeney sings.

Yep! Like I said, I got the audio from the link in the description.
