The law says, rear end collision is 100% rear vehicle's fault. However, the rider was acting like an idiot, doing sudden stop endo at a blind corner. Even so, this collision looks like it could have been avoided if driver of suv was paying more attention. You can clearly see that when the suv was coming out of the corner, it had about 2 seconds to slow down with the bike in its view, yet it didn't slow down a bit. Then, leaving the scene of an accident... It sums up to 100% SUV driver's fault.

Real Story: The driver was the motorcycle guy's wife, she was following him around the corner when he did that front wheely shit, she couldn't stop in time and hit him. She then drove around the corner and parked.
It was the rider's fault- he didn't rear end the bike, he hit the bottom of it. LOL plus the rider would have gotten a reckless endangerment charge as well.

Real Story: The driver was the motorcycle guy's wife, she was following him around the corner when he did that front wheely shit, she couldn't stop in time and hit him. She then drove around the corner and parked.

All people here are accusing the biker.... Here in Greece if you are behind a vehicle and crash into it, you are responsible because you have to keep a safe distance in case that the driver you are following realizes a danger and need to brake hard.... Stund or not the SUV driver would be responsible... Isn't the same there?

@spi0000 It is similar in Texas, but that's only because things make sense here. (maybe the events of this video happened in California?) The SUV driver would be at fault, but the biker would receive a citation (for doing a stupid thing in a bad location).

@spi0000 You are correct - I do not understand why the SUV left after colliding with the motorcycle. If anything, the driver of the SUV would be concerned for any injury done to the motorcyclist.
Hopefully the SUV did the right thing and returned to the scene later.

@spi0000 Yes actually its exactly what you described here in the U.S. too. So either way they probably reported this and the SUV driver most likely got charged with Hit and Run. Its always the persons fault if you hit them from the back, also at ANY collision its against the law to just leave. Especially when the guy is filming.. This is why women shouldnt be driving cars.
