It was something that KDKA had been doing for years. I remember reading an article written by the guy who created the very first 80's tunnel open; on his first trip through the city's Fort Pitt Tunnel he was so taken by the contrast between the sameness of the tunnel and the abrupt appearance of the city skyline that he felt it had a place in the open. It's true, the view isn't exactly the same, but it's breathtaking.

I agree! Spectacular! There isn't much 90s material on YouTube for Pittsburgh TV...so please post more! :) Also, I don't mean to sound selfish, but I'm a weather junkie...if you could post a full weathercast (such as the one that goes to the newscast above, but not necessarily)...it would be MUCH appreciated. Anything from notable 90s events, such as the Blizzard of '93, etc. also would be very cool. Thanks.
