excuse me but...classical influence? Have you heard Natalie in person? She does have some classically trained players in her band but she teaches in the most traditional cape breton way you can learn and I have seen her keep dances going for hours. At Mark O'Connor's fiddle camp 09 she sometimes had jams going until 7 in the morning. I don't mean to disrespect you and I know that on youtube everyone's got an opinion but I really doubt that you really understand Natalie's playing.

Generally it is Celtic music. Specifically, it is Cape Breton fiddle music.
