  • weighs 8 pounds 44.8 inches long and the cocking effort is 30 pounds

  • what is the plume of gas that comes out of the rifle at 0:09?

  • @Acellio compressed air that holds condensation. The pressure forces water vapor into droplets and the shot makes it puff.

  • @Nicsmovies are you retarded this a break barrel air rifle not co2

  • which is better this or a blackhawk?

  • @MisterFasarias blackhawk

  • How long does a CO2 cartrige last? And how may 12g cartriges does it need at the same time?

  • Should i get this or the Crosman Phantom 1000 FPS .177 ? I need help ??

  • Mine was getting roughly 920-940 fps but that is within the acceptable range. It is not the most accurate rifle in the world however, it is less than $110 so you can't expect perfection. It will get the job done if your main goal is pest control or target shooting from no further than maybe 80 yrds

  • @Agumon5 How in the hell did you estimate your FPS? Why would you expect to hit anything from more than 80 yrds with an air rifle?

  • @TKCorbitt

I used a chronograph you can buy them easy enough off walmart for about $100

After using the rifle for like a week I actually realized it was not what I needed so I returned the rifle to the store and used the money to buy a Ruger 10/22 .22 rimfire. Works much better for my needs.

  • @Agumon5 Thanks for the info. I never used a chronograph before and had no idea WalMart would carry such an item. You obviously know your stuff. How is the Ruger 10/22 .22 rimfire? I heard they're pretty good.

  • @TKCorbitt

Well let me put it to you this way... where a 1000 FPS .22 Air rifle would have roughly 20 foot pounds of energy on target with a 14 grain pellet at 30-35 yards an average 36 grain .22 round fired from a Ruger 10/22 would have about 70-80 Foot pounds of energy. Basically for about $250 you can get a weapon that is likely above some of the best air guns on the market today and it can fire 10 shots semi automatic without reloading.

It puts my RWS 350p .22 Air rifle to shame.

  • @TKCorbitt I killed a duck at 150 yards with my Ruger Airhawk. I was using PBA ammo which bumps up the fps slightly, and gives a flatter trajectory at that range. I consistently hit targets at 125-150 yards with my gun. For $100 you cant beat it.

  • @TheIowaPrepper ya but the pba ammo starts wreaking the gun it could wreak the barrel y coming out too fast when u pull the trigger

  • could this fire the pba ammo i have for my gamo or are the pba pellets only for gamo air rifles?

  • i have a question does the scope stay on firmly i have a gamo recon and the scope slides off eventually after a few shots

  • @MrAirgunlover and not cack handed lefty!!!

  • \/ i bought the gun yesterday and i live in canada, you do not need a permit

  • @BRAVESSniper16 you do for the 1000 fps model theres 2 of them :P

  • do you need a licence for this? i live in Canada...please answer back

  • @intertripletta18 No, you can go to a local cabelas store and buy it! (Make sure you buy pellets)

  • the scope mounts are crap use iron sights the scope put it on like a 22 or something it has great clarity on it

  • hey i got some problems sighting in the scope any tips?

  • @SNIPERJOAKIM Throw it as far away as you possibly can and buy something like a Leapers or Center-Point. I bought my Ruger a week ago and the scope fell apart in two days. It was junk anyways....it was like looking through a steamed up window and it doesn't have any adjustments for paralax or eye focus.

  • This gun is NOT made by Ruger. It's a chinese Diana Panther 31 copy.

  • @bfgguns what you meant was a model 34 copy. :)

  • I bought this exact package from bass pro, The scope (IMO) was too nice for an air rifle so I harvested it for my crossbow. I have been shooting the Air Hawk with open sights and absolutely love it! Great gun for a great price.

  • great gun

  • dont get it from sport man gide

  • how much does it go for ?

  • Can this gun fire bb's?

  • @birdturbow no

  • i have this gun as well, i got it at G.I. Joes for $100 a couple years ago and haven't had any trouble with it so far. the front site got messed up one day but that was my fault and i fixed it easy.

  • i have this gun

  • I usually avoid Ruger products because of the co. Has a fondness for heavy triggers. I took a chance on this one because it has an adj. trigger. Aargh! Gee, all the way down to 5 lbs.! Won't get fooled again!

  • can someone help me. i need to know im 16 can I buy this gun at bass pro will they let me get it or do i have to be older?

  • @TheMrmmafighter Depends on where you live? In Florida you have to get 16, but other states you have to be 18.

  • @kikook222 in AZ,USA

My son 10 years old already shot 10/22 with me at the shooting range..OK!

  • @kikook222 so, im 14 an i have one

  • i love this gun

  • i got my ruger in march..and it broke a few weeks ago. i tried to fix it but i think i broke it more.. who do i contact to get it fixed if its possible

  • whats better an airhawk or blackhawk please ansswer fast

  • @RCJproductions1 I think thier the same only the air hawk has a wood stock

and the black hawk has a composite stock.

  • I have one and I shot 49 small birds out of the tree in my backyard from about 30 yards and didnt miss once and if I can do that u babys can too

  • i took 2 shoot and the crosshair is is was broke ... suck scope.

  • is it worth the money

  • Tried this gun and I rather use the big cat

  • Comment removed

  • OMGOMGOMG i want one!

  • so how loud is this thing? too loud to shoot in the back yard?

  • @mafiaslicka pretty loud, its like a small firecracker goin off

  • @mafiaslicka nah i shot in town its not very loud but we got caught because birds would sometimes fly into other peoples yards and die after we shot em. so we got in trouble from dead bodies being all over or neightbors yards not the sound. the first couple shots from it i would recommend u shoot out in the country though... the spring isnt broke in and sounds louder than a freakin .22

  • @adamclark94 You can get a loud sound out of any air rifle if you clean and prepare your pellets. Wash them with dishsoap, dry them out, then add some lemon oil, or furniture polish and roll them around in their.

When you shoot, theyll crack and sound like a 22, and will be faster than normal.

I use this technique when Im out having fun in a field just plinking.

  • aw thats cute, now let us grown ups get back to our crosmans and gamos

  • Hahahahahaa thats cute

  • Don't buy this ruger. I have one, the iron sights are horrible, its extremely loud, the recoil is bad and the accuracy is crap. A gamo cadet with half the fps is way more accurate than this junk and thats with iron sights on gamo vs scope or iron with ruger. The wood scratches easy and the trigger is horrible, wobbly and overall the rifle is TOO HEAVY

  • i am having trouble with getting the barrel to open... not cocking it down all the way, but initially opening the barrel, is there any way i can make it so there's less resistance as to when i initially open it?

  • @MrBigfatturd yea i had that problem with my crosman storm xt i just hit it a little of the barrel and it pops open, they dont seem to just open up like they say they do.

  • @rustlerbadass ya, its really annoying, but thanks for the tip, hitting it a bit works

  • i just baught one 2 hours ago

  • iv had one of these for about 1 year now and iv had norhing go rong with it i highly recomend it!

  • this gun is worth the money..it is powerful and accurate. i got it about.. 4 days ago. i havent shot it much becausee its been raining everyday. there is recoil to this gun. its not much but it shocked me when i first shot it. because of the high recoil the screws on this gun come loose. it takes all of two seconds to fix them up so its not really that major.. but i had the scope on the gun.. and when i shot the gun the scope flew off the gun. it was probably my fault tho. great gun though

  • yea hes using the wrong eye to sight in ha dumbass

  • I picked up one of these last year, it's a great shooter. I sent it to my brother since I already have 3 tuned up springers. It's made in China under license to Ruger, but it's very well made for a China air rifle. The 1000 feet per second is a bit overstated, I live at 3400' elevation and was getting around 800 fps with .177 pellets around 7.8 grains. That's more than enough to take down rabbits and pest birds like European starlings and English sparrows (both are invasive "exotics").

  • @VegasNomad I've got one of these about a week ago and after about 200 rounds through it, i can tell its just getting more power behind it, i think the 1000 fps is dependant on how well its oiled and the breakin but i have no doubts this can hit 1000fps, possibly over with certain pellets

  • loading this shit takes fuckin time...

  • @backatchalol yeah but when you shoot a neighbour at 100yards, he thinks its hornets

  • no, this is a very lethal airgun, you do not play around with them, a co2 air pistol can kill you, but these can pierce your freaking skull. my mom's cousin got shot in the eye by a red ryder bb gun and nearly died (by the way a red ryder shoots only 300fps), a 1000fps gun can pierce more than 10 inches of skin with a lead pellet, and can pierce further than a .22 with lead free ammo

  • @drewnickel oh i know, my one friend shot my other friend through the cheek at 200ft

  • @mard420 lol wow thats greaaat.

  • i have 1 its worth it i love the gun it has alot of power and alot of accreacy

  • please can anyone recomend a UK 14 year olds legal air gun? one thats is around or under £50? and idea would be great.

  • i like the elite more, safty is cool, grip is cool, and great fps. The only thing is i wish the elite version had iron sights

  • Comment removed

  • crap scope great gun

  • agreed, i have to sight it in everytime i take it out

  • Comment removed

  • what is a better air rifle the ruger airhawk or the ruger blackhawk

  • There the same but the black hawk is smaller and easier to handle

  • you live in canada?

    google it

  • im getting this gun from bass pro. 1000 fps. looks good. cant wait to buy it.

  • i will get what i find today on bass pro, the crosman quest or the airhawk

  • @jepdiniz2

get the Air Hawk. it's much better. has a better trigger and looks prettier too, i think.

  • i got the big cat and it is a fucking nice gun it is 140 dollars but an awesome gun

  • @jepdiniz2 yeah that's always a good one too. it's actually just like most of the other Gamos without any of the bells and whistles. i'd rather get the Air Hawk for the wood stock but i do wanna try the Gamo Hunter Pro soon. that looks like a nice one. not quite a Weihrauch or RWS but looks very good in quality.

  • I would get a Stoeger X20 fucking awesome gun by what i saw in some videos

  • they reduce it in canada, i got it at bass pro it only 495fps.

  • not all of em, you can get the pal rated version if you have your firearms license.

  • were can i get pal rated.

  • any firearms shop, sports, hunting/fishing shop... most carry pal rated air rifles but you're best ordering online if you want that exact rifle in the video. Hell, EVEN BASS PRO carries that pal rated version hahahahha

  • what a retard how hes holding the rifle he shoots whith left :S wtf

    i own a air hawk 16j 1000fps

    love it

  • go to pyramidair. K0 m

  • buy a gas spring? or just get a different spring man '

  • im gettin the blackhawk, seems like the exact same as this but black lol

  • The blackhawk is pretty much identical except for the synthetic stock instead of hardwood. and as a result is a fair bit cheaper. Fabulous Gun. you wont regret it.

  • how big is that gun? can it kill a coon?

  • yes easily

  • I shot a Gray squirrel black squirrel and a chipmunk today with mine !

  • Does it need high mounts, medium mounts, or low mounts?

  • i was the one who recommended the Leapers 3-9x32 Illuminated Reticle scope, wasn't i? if i was, the rings that come with the scope work fine on this gun.

  • What is the absolute best scope to put on this for under 60 bucks?

  • i odererd this gun and its been on backorder for like 40 days

  • Can you do a scope review for this gun asap!?

  • it iz only an feture to make sure the gun don't slide or any thing while you r holding it up to your sholder

  • How is the accuracy on this gun. Also, does this rifle preform well with heavier grain pellets?

  • nice ass gun man im gana go wach man vs wild now

  • It seems exactly the same as the Crosman Quest.

    Whats the difference?

  • its quieter and more efficient

  • well, there's a bunch of differences. the Ruger has a different stock, first of all, though it may look the same, the Ruger has darker wood, and has more curves to it. it's also a bit more hand-filling in the forearm in my opinion. (i have held both of em.) the Ruger has a MUCH better trigger. the Ruger's trigger breaks at about 2 pounds pull weight, while the Crosman breaks at stiff long 4 pounds. also the sight picture is different. the Quest has the front green and back red, this is opposite

  • that gun is so fucking sexy

  • .177...its just a pellet ggun

  • Buy a real gun.

  • i like to let you know this is just as heavy as a 308. this is a real gun you have no idea what your talking about. Your probably one of those kids who is obsessed with call of duty. This gun can fucking kill you. Some guy murdered his wife with one dumbass. Get a real gun.......pshh dumb ass

  • I do own real guns.

    There's no need to curse..

I know you can KILL people with them...

Its as heavy as a 308,

IT DOSENT KICK LIKE A 308 or pack the same punch as one.

At least get a .22 instead of this.

    Thats the best starter firearm.

  • .22? as a starter gun?

hmm with a .22 i can't hunt varmint in my backyard without getting a crop damage permit.

    It's a little loud.

    Ammunition cost more

and the it has more recoil than that of an air gun's

22's are great but starting out with a gun like this ? You won't go wrong. ( The ruger )

  • actually .22's have less kick then an airgun becaues airguns have springs

  • wrong.... somtimes .22's have less kick but gas springs which i use make the gun have no recoil and its more quiet

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE bull shit. .22s have no recoil the air guns have more because of the spring bouncing. they arent as powerful but the spring moving gives it an odd recoil. .22s are like shooting nothing really but funner because more powerful. o and a .177 pellet makes basically the same size hole as a .22 actually bigger most the time because the pellet flatens when it hits even a can unlike a .22bullet

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE yea i agree but an airgun doesnt count as a real gun. a .22 is the best starter real gun

  • @xKingNicKx2455 An airgun is a "real gun" it just uses the power of air

need I mention that in New Jersey you need Firearms permit to own one

a man also killed is wife with one just like this one

Now if those don't float your boat i don't know what will

I'm not trying to start an argument i'm just rather than the use of air. They are the same.

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE I always say this in an argument between two people. A bullet goes around 3k FPS, and pellet gun does 1/3 that speed. That's pretty damn deadly no matter what you think of it.

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE

    no, .17 quicker

.22 impact stronger ex: to kill cat or dog (in Vietnam not US)

    .17 for target practice

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE is it rly accurate? like when u get it is the scope aligned well and does the bullet go straight?

  • @severedmonkey8 FIRST OFF yes it's very accurate from the open sights which are fiber optic colored. SECOND the scope yes the scope is very good however depending on what distance you are shooting from you will have to sight it in than aim up for longer targets and aim below for the closer ones if you want more info on the gun and the scope look up scope videos as well as other air rifle video. I recommend you get this air rifle as a first

  • @THEABC123DUMBIE yea its my second airgun but my first was a pumpmaster 760 but thanks for the advice

  • I LOVE My air hawk!

I chose the elite it is basically this with a thumb piece basically a hole for better grip

    Also it is more polished

  • lmao at :14

"snuggle up to the cheek piece"

  • yeh u know the strange thing? THERE IS NO CHEEKPIECE ON THIS GUN!!!!!!!!!! just the stock has a monte carlo profile. a cheekpiece would have been a bulge that came out of the wood to fit most likely only a righty. there is no cheekpiece on this gun xD

  • yeah lol it looks silly

  • lolz i just noticed this shooter is left-handed! i am too! lol but i ain't getting this gun. i already got a Chinese Beeman RS3 (academy sports) that is serving me pretty well. i'd suggest upgrading the scope on this gun to a Leapers variable power scope. but that would add to the price, which is not what you want.

  • When are you getting the R9?

  • I understand that it will get quieter as you shoot it.

I just bought me one from Sportman's Guide along with 500 Champion pointed .177 pellets for a grand total of $97.93.

I'm looking forward to getting it. This will be my first air rifle.

    Hack

  • i just got this gun today, and it is a really badass lookin air rifle. its really loud though. it has a nice recoil to it, and it feels kind of like a real rifle.

i love the scope on it too.

i got it at Academy fer $139.99

sheeeut you cant get an nice airrifle of this quality fer a better price

  • i got a new air rifle today and the air isnt passing through the gun to fire the pellet through the barrel what should i do?

  • i just bought it today and shot it around 10 pm after work. this was my first non co2 rifle so the loud-ness was a surprise lol. it felt like i was actually shooting something with power and kick. it was awesome haha

  • Were would you suggest me getting one of these?

    Dicks sporting goods?

    Walmart? lol?

  • I got mine on sale at sports authority. It was $115 but with the sale it was only $90. :)

  • me too!

    I chose the elite though

  • when i first got this gun i lubed it up, and it was about 11 at night, and it sounded like a real rifle shooting off from the oil burning up in the barrel, real tight.

  • does anyone know why the barrel might be bent. I just came inside after a day of squirl hunting and my dad noted that the barrel started to bend about 1 1/2 inches from the rear sight and it warps up from there. Anyone else have that problem?

  • thats true

  • ya its kinda easy and i am 13 to but 35 pounds is alot

  • is the gun quiet or no? Cause if it's loud I don't want it cause I live in a residential area but also there are alot of woods but don't want to take a chance getting the cops called. Sounds really quiet in the video but don't know. Someone please reply

  • yes its quiet

  • it is not quiet i have this gun its loud but its powerful just got a shadow sport today though its way better!!

  • Are you sure you don't have the .22 version

I'm getting hte .177 i just wanted to know if it was quiet or not

  • Its actually pretty loud..esp if you use raptor pellets (which are innacurate as hell but make a fun sound).

  • I want this gun!

  • cocking and loading swift an easy my ass it is like 35 pounds to crack

  • love the gun
