It certainly seems that the police vehicle was a decoy. :) The RCMP have a proven track record (and have admitted to) acting as Agent Provocateurs to incite violence. It's irrelevant discussing the events, since the protesters still got shafted, the financiers still illustrated the carte blanche granted where excessive money is involved and the media got their "Protest results in arson attack and ignited police cruiser" shot. I'm not even Canadian but I've been following the event/demonstration.

this guy was arrested so you can stop saying youd like to see it happen. I did see it happen and as much as he should have been arrested the way it was done was completely innapropriate. he was beaten and peper sprayed while cuffed and not resisting.

I would like to see any protesters that participated in damaging public or private property who are caught turned over to the public to recieve the punishment they deserve. After that then they can get there day in court and either serve the community further and or pay restitution for the acts they committed.

@Snurdgerbly better to do that, than to escalate the situation by remaining in the area. Regardless of the weapons they carry they would have been out numbered and overtaken in a short time. Why didn't the massive force not move in, because then there lines would have been broken and they would not have been able to control the flow of the protesters. Easier and less harmful to just abadoned the car.

@gunnz23 I saw a similar tactic used at the Bathurst bike races in 1984. A TV station left a car in the angry crowd and waited hours for someone to torch it. Some said the cameraman was offering payment. It makes good news footage. That video shows a car that could have been driven away at any time by anyone who had the keys. It's an old trick that doesn't work so well now that nearly everyone is carrying a camera. As laurenonizzle says, there were more people filming than doing.
