Mercedes Engines, with chain timing belt, use synthetic oil, change oil on time, do the maintenance, take care of it, they will never die, because it is German engineering, which means the best engineering in the world; believe me, because I had year 93 300CE Sporttine and now I am driving year 95 E320 Convertible. Don't buy a S280 or 320 you run of fuel exacly the same like the s500 becouse in the 6 cyl you don't have that amout of torque or engine power, for example if you run your s500 economy it burn you pocket exacly the same as the 280 or 320 variants. Regards

Just try it on an open road, less traffic as possible and give the car and yourself a lil time before to floor it. Like driving it at 120-140 km/h for a lil then the car itself will start to "ask" you for speed. Its the "safer" way to do it. Enjoy and b careful

Good idea is to check the cost of servicing for the different models also.

I bought a 10yr old BMW 740i V8 and after calling service dept they told me the V12 engine is approx double to service due to being a totally different engine and low volume.

So watch your budget when considering these cars.

Hi! Thank you. But if you mean speed limiter hacking, the answer is no. All the car (with speed limit ) can go faster a few minutes or seconds, then the speedlimiter allows. That' s because overtaking.
