We have long compared with a friend Zeiss Victory FL 8x32 versus Kowa Prominar 8x33 and we found no difference.Kowa has the same clarity but is slihgtly heavier.
Zeiss is also more expensive. I am currently using Zeiss Victory FL 7x42 and Kowa Prominar 8x33.
Kowa makes good product. But of course, we prefer ZEISS!

@cuqik Well I haven't tried kowa, but I can tell you that Zeiss FL is up there in the top, among new Swaro EL and leica ultravid.
