James sounds better last year?? What the hell does that mean: He's not using the audience to help him sing the songs as much as he did in year's past??!! It's an old singer's trick as a way to help save their voices when on tour. Hate on me all you want, but the facts still remains: James Can't Sing Anymore! And It's not like he had a classic strong heavy metal voice to begin with (i.e.: Ozzy, Ian Gillian, Lemmy or Rob Halford). He may be sober, but the damage is already done: His voice is shot.

A: he's got the old growl back.

B: he's been going through therapy for his voice.

and, last but not least, C: the reason i say since 92 is he blew out his vocal cords performing "so what?" in 93, and from then until 2007 he still couldn't growl like he used to,all he could do is sing, but his vocal therapy fixed that.

P.S, ad much as i like Motorhead, Lemmy's voice sounds like he gargled razorblades

You need to shut the fuck up Drazelilur because you don't know what the hell you're talking about: When you're a 45-year-old drinkin' & druggin' lead vocalist of a metal band for 28 years; You've been laying down vocals hours upon hours, year after year in the studio; And you've been touring months & month for years: Guess what, Asshole? Your voice gets shot to hell! The audience helping out on a song is one of a few tricks singers have used if their voices are straining from excess wear & tear!
