The piss-poor sound quality seems quite appropriate under the circumstances. Recordings made at ND and especially at Liverpool Cathedral in the later 1920s are vastly superior. The present recording, although a fascinating historical document, doesn't give the crooked cross faction much to boast about. I wish I could click on both Like and Dislike for this one!

I don't think the problem was that France was invaded: the problem was that a substantial part of the French political elite collaborated. That was the problem.
