Seems that no-one noticed that he has to set the "weight" on the left at a high point, which is held in place by the magnet. When he taps the lever, it releases the magnet and the contraption converts the potential energy stored in the weight to kinetic energy.

There is absolutely nothing special about this, it's simple conversion of potential energy to kinetic energy, you can easily do this yourself: pick up a rock, drop the rock into water: wow, waves! Where'd the energy come from? magic?

For once, i have to agree with Desertpile, there is no overunity here, i've done all the tests on this. While the 'new' Orbo released this year uses toroidial coils to eliminate back emf (breaking Lenz's law, already proven) it would just mean a highly efficient motor, but no overunity. When i see one self-running (and no batteries!) then i will be interested.

We talk about a magnetized object having a higher energy state than an unmagnetized object because there is some energy associated with the internal order of having aligned magnetic domains, however a magnet is not a battery, and is not "using up" energy when it attracts something.
