I LOVED this documentary. If you haven't seen the whole thing, I highly recommend it. Its fascinating and beautiful! Very uplifting and life-affirming like that other great documentary 'Off by heart". Very deserving of its BAFTA nomination....
I don't think you should, being an Aspie isn't that bad! I think he could do with a few years where he just chills out though, the genius can come back.
It would be good if a couple of patient people could take him out for a drink, maybe go early to avoid the crowds which would put him off, and get him drunk. It could be a very liberating experience for him, to try to have a laugh and tolerate other people. Just a thought, although I do understand that AS can make it seriously hard for people to make that big step. His genius is unquestionable, and I think people would appreciate it if he made even a small effort-but it ought to be on his terms.
