What an idiot of a referee, you're always supposed to finish an 8 count no matter what, then you check if a fighter can continue. Just the fact that he can still walk and wants to go forward doesn't mean he can still fight, neither that he should be allowed to continue.
@Blahb27 yo this is muai thai not boxing, not mma, not ufc, not all this 2 many rules fights crap, this is traditional fighting, its bad enouth that there is a referee in the match to begin with
@mistergrim1990 i hope i am not being rude or anything but all sanctioned muay thai fights in Thailand have a ref. in them , its not street fighting ..... and FYI UFC is not a sport , its a promotion in which fights take place under MMA rules ... and what you mean too many rules crap , Muay thai also has rules just like boxing and MMA
@mistergrim1990 Muai thai has been regulated like this formally since the 1920's, when the Thai king stepped in and made rules, such as making wearing gloves compulosry. And probably it was the same story before that too.
And I can tell you from experience even just about all unregulated fights tend to appoint a referee of some kind, and not going too far if you win is always an agreed condition in such situations.
i hope this replies to both of you, i perfer the traditional tournaments of martial arts, say 20 people go in, 1 comes out, thats a true tournament no this everyday crap, so its my opinion of loving the old days, there was less violence and less problems, if someone had a problem, fight to the death, no more problems =]
@mistergrim1990 it seems like you watch alot of movies there have always been referee in muay thai matches. And even muay boran had rules although death wasnt unfaimilar in the ends of certain matches. Muay thai is a sport. Just like taekwondo , just karate and just like mma. You were never alive 90 years ago when thai fighters didnt have referees.
@revelation1234 thats a load of bs, referee's werent always around take fight clubs for example, theres no referees simple rules fight till ur opponent cant. muay thai is a fighting style not a sport, when you put referees into it it becomes a sport. fights to the death are still around its just your ignorence makes you believe there isnt, and i dont need to be 90 years old to watch street fights with muay thai styles, which is what i still see around and participate in as well.
umm why was the second knockdown slowed ?? it was sloppy the first was much much better and would have been more appropriate to watch in slow................................
stupidity man, theres alot of heart in what he did lol, but he shuda used his brain and taken some time to recover.
