Ultimately, like all martial arts, the techniques can lend themselves to the intentions of the practitioner - very well, in fact! ....and some practitioners are brutal. There are body slams, joint-locks, throws, strikes, yanks, shoves and kicks all inherent within the movement should a practitioner choose to use the movements in this way. Look up 'Taiji Chin Na' for a better idea of what I'm talking about. Dr. Yang Jwing Ming's good.

taiji is not brutal, or destructive, taiji is used for self defense and to help others, compassion
