In Eurovision Song Contest all countries of EBU(European Broadcast Union) can take part..

And besides European countries, in this union are also: Algeria, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Lebanon and ISRAEL.

Even though Israel is geographically in the Middle East, it will never be accepted by its Arab neighbours as a legitimate permanent state. Every event they could ever hope to enter would boycotted in Middle Eastern countries. That is why they take part in Europe. I often wonder what would happen if Israel qualified for the World Cup finals and found themselves in the same group as Saudi Arabia. Would it go ahead?

I think it's weird that every chorus of the songs was played but not Irelands? Dustins short version was in between of the choruses... When the "mediocre" part was. A shame that Eurovision didnt play the chorus of Dustin!!
