Curse pilot is fail,, any pilot who has simly stepped into the curse for the first time and is flying it based solely on reading the ships bonuses, would be able to take down a conventianally or even buffer fitted hyperion.
Pritty sure this curse was killled in Singularity In FD-MLJ not really that good to be makeing a vid about it... ive been playing SiSi today and i got about 20-3 kills but i dont make videos about it....
@hdnpxfrozenheavens lol, this is on sisi btw, u can see the system fd-m if u look close enough so its not like this guy can actually pvp its just that he happened to warp ontop of a cures are one of the ffa's :)
He was going after someone else to begin with.. and you web the warrior drones while yours attack them. Should rename "i attack a curse while it's going after someone else"
yes but the curse is a CRUISER..... a BS like a hyp that kicks out over 1k dps without much trouble is going to shred one, even more so if the pilot has his attention on someone else.
@Sargethepyromaniac so you're saying that on TQ fights people somehow, by a miracle, automatically turn their attention to the guys that are shooting them? even if they are having their attention on something else?
Aye, if you get point blank of one, their first reaction is to get away from you. As they are most often setup to orbit you at approx 30km range, and sit there disrupting your guns. However if you do get the drop on them, and they do head away in a straight line every shot u take lands.
This is just my opinion, the post nano nerf Curse with its bonuses to ewar is still one of the most dangerous anti-battleship ships in the EVE universe. Fortunately, it is also one of the MOST difficult ships to fly effectively.
I can say almost without hesitation, if you get a killmail against one in a turreted battleship, that curse pilot was either asleep or terrible. I don't think Farjung has soloed one. And I promise you, there is no scarier Battleship pilot in EvE than Farjung.
Oh. And sorry for the tone of the post. Is a nice video and a good kill. Wasn't implying anything on your skills by saying the Curse pilot was horrible.
no hard feelings bud ...but your wasting the tank of the ship for 100 more dps ..try using 6x ions 2x electrons and low slots 2x lar /1x dcu / 1x eanm / 2x mfs and 3x aux nano pump rigs you should be able to go like 4vs1 with bs's in that
well...a curse will solo any turret ship in this game treacking disruptors x2 with optimal range + neuts and nos but this guy was fitted wrong ..hyperion with a gank setup isnt that good thats why they invented the mega but seriouislly i wouldnt recomand u to buy a hyp unless u fly in gang for solo is better a domi mainlly because u can use neuts ...and ships must stay in scram range ..u neut they burn off u warp away and dont losse ship or who knows maybe u kill them afterall :P
This is what I personally recommend: 7x Electron Blaster Cannon II's 1x Heavy Nos II Mids 1 Stasis Web (best named) 1 Warp Dis (best named) Heavy Cap Injector 1 Microwarp Drive EWAR ((Including a second web)) of Your choice (or a second heavy cap if you run 8 Electron IIs in the highs) Lows: 2 Large Armor Repair II. Damage Control 2 Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Magnetic Field Stabilizer With skills defense is 773 reinforced, and runs dual reps for 7 minutes with a DPS of high 700s.
Warp Disruptor on a blaster ship is generally inadvicable, it's hard enough as it is to cover the distance you need in order to deal damage. Electrons especially have piss-poor range.
Nos in all its glory but the setup should run just fine long enough for the fight to be well and over with before you're out of 800's. I'd prefer a neut.
Otherwice I agree with you, although everything should be T2 or named at least. I'd also recommend an extra web in that midslot (or an ECCM if necessary).
If you are solo, you will need the range of the disruptor. You run a neut on that at your peril. If you run into a megathron fitting a faction neut in his highs (not that expensive, and stupidly good) you are done.
I put best named for the web and disruptor because T2 will not fit, and as long as you don't have to over heat them to long, they will be fine.
This is a proven set up. Roll with what you want, but don't try to sharp shoot mine without posting your own statistics.
It sure is harder to catch targets with a scram, then again that's not what a BS is s'posed to be used for.
Should you land in close proximity and get that point or if the target decides to engage you, then a warp scrambler will be better in every instance (except maybe versus an AB fitted ship that's trying to escape out of point range).
I don't fight ships smaller than battle cruisers in a Hyppie because of the tracking. For other battleship engagements, the disruptor and web combo are much better than a scram if you are sitting on the gate.
In my opinion, the extra mid is to valuable to waste on another cap booster when you can fit ECM.
And the nos is just good because it is hard as fuck for a neut boat to keep you off your guns with it.
Benso99, Which ones specifically? where he's most of them DPS = Damage per second WTF = What the f... Hyp = Hyperion tbh = to be honest tank = ability to sustain damage ions = a type of blaster turret electron = a type of blaster turret lar = Large Armor Repairer dcu = damage control unit MFS = magnetic field stabilizer aux Nano = Auxilery Nano pump Rigs = ship modifications bs = Battleship
I guess uploader shouldn't have reminded people to rate this video

@1993futuremarine, they are both over $100 million isk ships.

it is still a t2 cruiser though. i am not talking price but the type of ship

if he was focusing you in a 1v1 you would be fucked, unless he's an absolute retard. You got lucky, that's all this video shows.
The fact that you weren't primaried in the group fight is why you got the kill.

a curse should kill any blasterships, any gunships really...

I should attempt to make more blasterships vs. curse vidos... many people seem to be under the impression its not possible to do.

a real curse pilot should stay out of webbing range... -.-'

I Love fighting blaster ships in my curse!
1) Nos and Neut you dry from 20km (so I can keep point.
2) 3 x Tracking disruptors so you will NEVER hit me.
3) Use my drones to kill your drones and by then you are a floating brick and it's a slow death for you :)
Starscream744 2 years ago
Yes, curse ships are very hard to kill with a blaster ship, but not impossible
rfry 2 years ago
@Starscream744 There are always people like you crapping up threads. Bottom line is you're set-up isn't nearly as hot as you think it is...
DraconisRex 1 year ago
Nice choice on the mids. That ECM will probably save your ass in any Amar Recon fight. Won't say anything about your tank because you won.
I would just be very careful of engaging those Curse/Pilgrim pilots. They are designed to eat turretted battleships and they are very good at it.
Having said that, if I was going to fight one, I would definately do it in a cap injected megathron (tracking bonus)
Though I did lol. Any non horrible curse pilot would have bugged out the second he was jammed.

its actually more like 54% more DPS, ... not 100dps, if the target is dead i don't' need to tank.

As for being neuted, yes it can be a pain but if it's a worry to you then fit a a secondary cap injector.
A proper neut ship will shut down your tank anyway, nos or no nos.
