AVG Anti-Virus update problem fix - invalid update control CTF file

thank you very much man. i had this problem with AVG 9.. it showed "there is no available update" and at the same time my database was obsolete. Deleted CTF files and than it started updating and everything went fine :D

I can't find those files, and when i search for CTF files i get two files called VIRSCAN, also when i search in that directory, all i see is a folder called Ads with nothing in it

After you take the CTF files out will AVG now automaticly update?

yes it will, but sometimes not immediately but it will work 100% if your problem is the ctf thing

i found out its not a big thing,

its shows in the tool bar ''components''

latest database update... is current.

it was working all the time.

just that stupid false failed update pop up. thank again!
