  • Chi running changed my life forever. I recommend ithe book to everyone who runs...

  • look at that butt, "I know... he must work out"

  • ya, well, you won't won't be running for distance then, if you cannot follow these human biomechanical basics. Yes, it looks funny, but get out of the way on the marathon runs eh? Serious runners never worry about what they look like,,,,,lol

  • Run like you've pooped your shorts?

  • He is...!

  • Is he running to a metronome? Good idea either way for long distances (if you can stand it).

  • it got better by each cone then... he stopped

  • that is not running for me...its just f*cking around...

  • @timolin Are you good at f*cking around for 26 miles? Timolin?

  • @taoking no i am not good at f*ucking around...i train only athletics ;)

  • @timolin i thinking you are f,ing around. I don't think anybody on the world wide web beleives you. quit lying all the time.

  • Yes, that's it. Good job. I've been doing this for 10 years and have no knee issues at all. My running times came way down and I'm able to run for much longer sessions with no pain. Just the shorter steps helped, especially at slower speeds. Most if not all elite runners do not really know how to run slow (too much bounce). However, almost all sprinters use this technique; but at those speeds, the stride can be much longer; toward the back, not stepping out front. Nice video !!

  • Horrible way to run, not only it is bad for your knees but it looks ridiculous.

  • @toby099

    Sadly, you are misinformed.

  • @toby099 I have had no trouble at all with my knees since taking up Chi running. What looks ridiculous to you is a body-saving technique for me. Danny Dreyer competes in ultra-marathons - as do many Chi runners. Thankfully, I never consider what it looks like when I'm exercising and taking in the beautiful scenery as I run next to Long Island Sound. I'm too busy smelling the sea roses! (in summer...) Have an excellent day!

  • I agree. I tried Chi Running, because my husband loves it so much, but it aggravates my Patella Tendinitis. If I stay more Forefoot, I get no fatigue in my legs and no knee pain.

  • @Ocean2Trail

I've heard that more than once. Happily enough you found yourself a better way to run ;-).

  • i've been working at this for 2 years and i am still no faster than when i was a heel striker. i am definitely doing something incorrectly. i have seen several 5 minute mile chirunners. i am stuck at 6:15-6:20.

  • Running like that hurts my knees.

  • Not bad! I just started ChiRunning so I'm not an expert. I don't see much Pelvic rotation and your head looks to be a little high. You heel lifts look much better when you increase your speed. Just wanted to let you know what I see. I have a video I took on my second Chi run. Please provide feedback. My form is much better now. I plan to post more as I continue to improve this running form.
