    I didn't know burgers can be made medium well in JUST A MINUTE.

    Lying might get you away but EXTREME lying is just gonna fuck up everything, she should have said "in a few minutes", this way in case it takes a little longer she can go back and say "just one more minute".

    To say "a minute" right off the bat is going to get them even more.

    This is why you see mostly GUYS working in high end Restaurants, and also because woman are way to emotional.

  • She sucks. You need to say, "We will get this fixed right away and our mistake will become first priority to the kitchen. This mistake should be fixed in about __ minutes and my supervisor will be waiting to personally deliver your new meal." Also, dump the burger in the dish pit and bring the fries back - this is what he "wants while waiting." Then he'll get a whole set of fresh fries with the re-cook, and while eating the other fries he won't even notice if __ minutes passed.

  • That's very well when your dealing with rational people, who just want the problem sorted out. But how do you deal with someone who want's blood, because they are not happy with something small, even that you offered to sort it out for them, or your stuck between company policy and what the customer wants; and if you give what the custome want's, you'll be in the management office the next day ? Or they eat the meal up completely, 2hours later and they won't pay, because a chip was wrong. D:.

  • What the hell!? She just made a MASSIVE mistake at 0:58... "Is there anything I can get you while you wait". She hasn't told him whether the "anything" is free or not, so essentially he's going to be very pissed off if he's misled and ends up paying for "anything."

  • @Shoregrey You'd be surprised. I got experience. People think that while they wait for the food they're going to order (and pay for) that anything else you offer will be free as you've offered to "get them" it. Next?

  • hello people i just to shared some experiences with you about been a server well i have been a server for ten years and still dont know how some people can act like that at a restaurant i mean if you ordered something and you dont like it just get something else and stop been so rude to servers and the worst thing is that sometimes they blame it on you and at the end they dont leave any tip that really piss me off

  • I don't know why you are neg repping this guy... yea, he's arrogant, but it's true. If put into that position, I would offer to bring back the fries on a separate plate so that they have something to eat while they wait the ~10 minutes for a medium well burger to be prepared.

    Listen. I am a sommelier at a prestigious restaurant. On the menu we do have a Kobe burger for the bar crowd. If someone were to complain about their burger you had better believe my service staff is to take the plate back and bring back a new burger and a side of FRESH NEW FRIES!

    If the patron ordered Hash Browns, Baked Potato, Potato Lyonnaise, Pilaf, etc...these would all be prepared fresh and new.

    yet you think you're doing a great thing and leaving the cold fries for the patron?

    Take the whole plate, make a fresh burger AND fresh fries and have a manager bring the new order.

  • I really hate people when they say "oh don't think about the tip". Yeah if you were the waiter you will probably understand. We get paid like 3 dollars an hour, and the rest depends on tips. Serving custumers to your best when they are been a*******. 3 Out of 5 Customers are rude and those 3 spend 10 dollars but oh yes they demand excellent service while they try to step on you, and try to make you feel miserable the same way as them!
