To all the people complaining about the waste of tomatoes -- The organizers of the tomatina take very good care to use only tomatoes not fit for eating. No one would eat those tomatoes (no, not even starving africans). They are the rejects from the tomato growers, tomatoes that are too hard, too rotten or too nasty to eat (the people collecting juice in cups and maybe drinking it later are being stupid). All those tomatoes would be thrown anyway by the growers. Why not have fun with them?

This is a great one. I shot La Tomatina in 2006 for a TV show called Project MyWorld. I got so crushed when the trucks came through that I only got about 30 seconds of footage of the actual fight. We could have used your b-roll!
