That's interesting, the two mouthpieces are pretty different in size. I can't switch between sizes, but obviously you do with good results! Crispian Steele-Perkins also does this and lets the horn choose the mouthpiece, so you are in very good company. . If I can try out those Yamaha horns, I'll do it. I am playing right now on a Yamaha 233S cornet and I like the sound of it, too, but I think that Xeno is a little darker, but may be it's you. Keep up the good work!!
I'd listened to the Willow and Melancholy excerpts earlier and came back tonight to hear the Himes, which was even better and now this, yet another step up. Great musicianship and technique, and a very warm tone to die for. You don't need my good wishes for continued success, as you are making your own luck via hard work and talent. I'm sure you would sound good on a garden hose, but I'm curious as to what instruments you are playing in the various excerpts. Different cornet here, no?

@royjohnk
Hi and thanks for your encouraging comments. This is a Yamaha Xeno cornet I bought in 2010 with a David King mouthpiece.
Apart from the Melancholy Mood, all the flugel pieces are on a Yamaha Bobby Shew with a Bobby Shew mouthpiece.
