Today is 13/1/11 and I can't believe it is exactly 2 yrs since Pat left us. I lost my Father-in-law over Xmas & I am reliving this awful sense of loss. To sum up my immediate emotions when viewing 'The Prisoner' 30 yrs ago (which never leaves us but is never recaptured) it would be the excitement of 'heavy brass' accompanied by the wonderment of what our hero is going to go through THIS week! Since 'The Jailbird' I draw 'Oscar & Wild' for the 'Bugle' - watch out for a tribute to Pat soon! BCNU
@IExposeMormonism The number plate KAR120C is owned by Caterham Cars, who aquired the rights to build the Seven from Lotus in 1974. In the 1990s they made a limited Prisoner edition of the car--british racing green with yellow nose cone and red interior. The companies' founder, Graham Nearn, had the tag on his personal car.
nice one m8 have a few lps of the times have this 12", have this is london lp bought it down carnaby st ed ball was in the shop and signed it for me nice guy
I'm only 17, and now totally a huge fan, thanks to my mom.
She met Patrick once, backstage at a play... he was really cool. She found out later that after she and the fan group she'd been in had left, Patrick had come back to offer to take them out to eat!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know what kind of car it was in the Prisoner intro? Patrick McGoohan should have been knighted, he was the best!
snowgirl1052 2 years ago
@snowgirl1052 Lotus Seven--still made today by Caterham Cars.
heavymental70 1 year ago
Everytime i heard the intro i tried to remember which tune was it from, and just realised it's 1964's Keep On Running by The Spencer Davis Group!

The only thing yo helped was,
To make yourself look like a plagurising CUNT.
Patrick McGoohan was a talented actor, writer, director and producer.
You are a worthless cunt trying to live off his steam.

Spencer Davis ripoff! 'Keep on Running' the start is identical.
I can see that was deliberate due to Number 6 always trying to run away from the Village!

Especially what happened in "Free for ALL" is 100 % realitiy now in our world.
Hope some people see what happened.

Quality Band - 'This is London' - Classic LP.
Any 'Direct Hits' clips anyone?
DAWOOLAH 4 years ago
No, but I once owned a Direct Hits live tape.
Wanted to put them on stage in my hometown at the time.
But although This is London is very good, Pop goes Art is the real classic, in my opinion.
