@BohemianConspiracy Don't get me wrong, Nirvana is one of the my favorite bands ever. But how the fucking hell can anyone say STP is a Nirvana rip off??? STP is the most diverse band to ever play, every album has a different and unique sound to it. Nirvana was amazing, but they are not even half the band STP is, nor is Kurt half the vocalist Scott is.
@stewartmc7 I was just 12 or 13 when i bought z stone temple 1st album... even if they are considered as part of the grunge family... well they are original...and have as Pearl Jam more classic 70s rock influences than others more punky grunge bands as Nirvana, L7 etc.... most of the time z temple pilots has not clear similarities with the Nirvana sound...but this single is an exception...on some parts of the song the connection is quite evident here... and by the way...the song is great anyway
The energy, life and vibe these guys provide in orgasmic waves of audio to the ears is fantastic. As soon as I hear the song start, I perk up with joy and life, Thank You STP.
I was literally just watching this video 5 minutes ago. I reload the video and it suddenly was "Removed by the user". I hope this is just my pc or some shit. >.>
@BallsDeep8029 I think its more about him enjoying to be in HIS own band rather than in a supergroup.. Glad they reunited.. We need more of these old bands these days..
@dubified89 Weiland stop emulating Mick Jagger? Is there a better person to try to emulate in music? Don't comedians try to emulate the best in their career? Doesn't President Obama try to emulate Lincoln, Roosevelt, etc? I think so. Mick Jagger isn't that good today, but when he was 30 he was pretty much the top.
The guys from GNR are great, but the news that STP was getting back together totally made up for Velvet Revolver ending. I got this CD finally about a month ago, and its been awesome. Scott Weiland is a great musician and I don't think gets enough credit. This video is pretty sweet too.
WTF, how can anyone bitch about this song, particularly with all the crap on the radio these days?... STP is back, dudes - isn't that amazing in and of itself?... And tell me how it is that not putting out the same album over and over is a bad thing?... Open your ears and listen to Robert pumping it out like a maniac, and feel the passion these guys still put into their music... If you can't hear it, you need to keep your ass in your time macjine and give up on new music altogether...
@djb8132 Agreed. sick of hearing the million comments about they sound like the Nirvana song. Who the hell cares? it's a few notes. I saw these guys in Sydney in March and they were totally unreal, like the STP of old! he may be in his 40's now but Scott is still sh*t hot and his voice is better than ever :)
It's a shame that bands like Velvet Revolver and Audioslave split up and went back to their original bands. Grunge vocals and new band styles was a wave of the time that didn't last as long as it should have. Grunge was good in its days, but I think it was best to leave it where it was. That also goes for Alice in Chains. I miss Scott singing about women and drugs with the 80's music style of GnR. It kicked ass. *sigh*
