Just picked this up at Bestbuy today for 35 bucks, great device! worth the buy, if you dont have a throttle it also has a mini throttle at the bottom there (even though it just looks like a flap lol). Anyway my point is, I feel like I AM ROBBING LOGITECH because I think this great piece of equipment should be atleast 60 bucks!

I accidentally dropped this the other day and now when i'm in a jet in bf3 it turns to the left slightly , my yaw ? i think. This way -> and yeah can i get it repaired? feels a bit wasteful just buying a new one.

@love2punk I dont know if its mechanical but i had the same problem. I just started using it and it was leaning to the right. I re-calibrated it (watch a video) and it works fine. Try doing that, if it doesn't work then try opening it up or just returning it.

@love2punk I'd watch a video, but I'll try to explain. Go to devices and printers, right click logitech extreme 3d, game controller settings, hold shift + ctrl and click properties, then calibrate. Like I said, just search "extreme 3d pro calibration" on google if you dont get it.

Used this stick for about 6 years with on/off use before I had to replace it. Good entry level joystick. Used it for FSX, FS9, X-Plane, IL2 and it ran excellent on all of them.

This is a reliable stick but for me, I've been flying the IL-2 series for ten years now and this stick for me is just too stiff. Basically I just use the stick for the stick and the buttons. I have a tracir and rudder pedals but like I said it is very tough it hasn't failed in over three years. I'm going to get a CH Fighter Stick and Throttle.

I was at Best Buy today comparing this and the Cyborg F.L.Y. 5 flight stick. The Cyborg was more expensive by $10 even though their features were basically the same. I ended up going with the Cyborg because of lots of negative reviews about this one's durability (crapping out after a month and stuff)

However, being that BF3 (the main game I plan on using it for) isn't as complex as a flight sim, I'm probably going to regret not getting the bare-bones Logitech Attack 3 instead.

@TheXBLPlayers ur not the only one, for the first time i'm thinking of getting one for bf3. btw, do you know if you can use mouse+keyboard for player and land vehicle controls but joystick for aerial units? I want to use all 3 based on different situations.

@mindsoulbody BF3 has a separate joystick menu. It should fullly work on release (didn't in the beta) so you can use the joystick on the jets, heli's and mouse and keyboard for infantry and land vehicles.

You can. You have separate binds for land, ground vehicles, jets, helicopters, and a common bind area. So yea, you can bind them to just jets and helis if you wish.

@nlioc4 right after I commented I got a joystick. Yeah, it works perfectly for BF3. However I must admit after using it for couple of hours and going back to mouse+keyboard, I found latter to be way more effective in air combat. BUT the joystick is a life saver in heli combat. I could never fly heli in BF2, BFBC2, but finally I can fly it in BF3. :D Also a simple joystick would do just fine.

@TheXBLPlayers I should go for the Thrustmaster T16000 m. I first got the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, but I wasn't pleased with it (it had some sharp edges, and something in the mechanism felt loose). I traded it for the Thrustmaster T16000 m, it is the most accurate (it uses the Hall Effect accurate technology, wich offers 256 times greater precision due to the magnetic sensor technology) stick you can get your hands on for the price, and the built quality is pretty good.

I don't want to sound like a hater or so but frankly this joystick is well.... Junk~

Back in '07 I got this Extreme 3D Pro.. after 2 weeks, the calibration went out of whack... Got it replaced and the same thing occurred after 3 weeks of moderate use..

I switched to a Saitek ST290 by '08 and it's calibration and responses was way better.. Although now, it's about to die with it's calibration deteriorating, but hey, this is 3+ years vs 2-3 weeks of faulty responses~~
