I stayed here last year on my trip to New York... My last night here was spent having a photoshoot in the old room of Vali Myers. Dressed as Pirates, drinking, dancing and laughing. The Chelsea hasn't lost any of it's bohemia.

I would love to work at The Chelsea, but it is for the elite: I live at the Times Square Hotel on 43rd St., and this is where the real Bohemians have to live. Almost all the affordable, private SROs are gone.

yeh,i also hear that Greenwich Village is now an elitist neighborhood and the real bohos now live in the east village. not sure ,i havent been in years.but i'll never forget Ludlow Street.

we live 1 blck from this hotel i managed an infamous eatery called healthy chelsea right next door to this hotel from 1982-91
