I got swimmer's ear after my general practitioner irrigated my ear with water. The procedure hurt and I just had a feeling this would only make things worse. Now I just go directly to an ENT. Don't let your doctor talk you into this treatment. Doctors aren't Gods; they also face a learning curve.

I prefer my Indian street ear cleaners............ at least they have the guts to show you the wax after they remove it. They are not just here for the show !

Oh...and as an ENT physician I can tell you that no otologist worth his/her salt would EVER irrigate an occluded ear for cerumen removal...That's what microscopes and suction are for...

got this in my left ear right now and its driving me fucking nuts...been dealing with it the past few weeks, but yesterday it got noticeably worse, and when i woke up this moring it was totally plugged-i can't hear doodely shit out of it except hissing and my own voice..which causes the left side of my head to feel all weird whenever i talk. saw doc today and he said 3-4 drops mineral oil the next 4 nights and go back saturday to get it flushed. i have a new found respect for tinidus sufferers..
