  • These will soon be back in action, look forward to it as Yardley is one of the few Brum towersI haven't rung at.

  • I find a lot of ringers cannot ring up in peal properly & consequently the first ringing the neighbours hear is rubbish

  • @pretorium Of the towers that I ring at on Monday and Wednesday evenings, the first bit of ringing that the neighbours hear, right through to the last bit of ringing the neighbours hear is shite. The Tuesday and Friday towers I go to are much better. Yes, plenty of ringers can't ring up and down in peal properly. Fairly recently, a member of the CCCBR Education comittee was bleating to anyone that would listen, that ringing up should be no quicker than 5 mins-this video proves otherwise.

  • @fartwell2000 Just under a minute. The Devon ringers have the right idea, get the bells up as quickly as comfortable, as that is when the most faults are accrued.

  • Taylors Ho Ho Ho

  • very sweet sounding peal of bells there

  • I love sounds of bells being rung up in peal

  • Very nice. Why is the treble sally different colors from the others though?

  • @ItsAlexOmg

Some towers do this so that when visiting ringers come, they know which one's the treble.

BUT, it could be that the old rope snapped, and they just put another one up, of different sally colour.

  • I don't know how you do that...but it sounds bloody beautiful...

  • Beautiful execution!

  • Ho Ho Ho...is that Mr. Simon D.G. Webb I see on the 7th??

  • Wow, that was very good. I hope the people who watch this video appreciate how difficult that was.

  • If only I could ring up this well.

  • Sounds like someone didnt set their bell at the end! either that or you have a creaky floor, haha.

  • lovely sounding bells st stephen in brannel which is my home tower are about that weight and it is so nice to hear bells that weight being rung properly because we aint the best of ringers.

  • Wery good goys!! Excellent!!!

  • This is how bells should be rung up!

  • that is a nice sounding peal i bet there nice to ring arn't they? the place i ring at is very nice.

  • Excellent.....all it needs to cock it up is somebody not to keep pace....

  • I love the sound of bells ringing up in peal. I been trying to do this at my tower but I can be very out of place as I not done this for years due to health problems which stopped me from ringing until it was sorted. Also now I ring up light bells to quickly which re-learning to slow down to stay in place.

  • Further to my comment of 8 months ago... we do now ring up in peal but not very well! lol

  • They are in the key of F#

  • The church I ring at is also 12cwt. What note is the tenor? It sounds the same as ours.

  • 12cwt

  • That was the best I have ever seen! what is the tenors weight?

  • we do this every week at our church I thought it was regular proceedure.

  • Very impressive!

  • Very cool! I don't think we've ever done that at the church I go to. I will suggest having a next practice. Is that 10 bells? What is the tenors weight?
