  • That is a sweet axe man. I am looking to get one what was the price?

  • love the guitar and cool room

  • The clean sounds so nice

  • is that guitar very heavy?

cus les paul bodies are usually heavy but i've heard the eclipses are lighter is that true

  • @OVER9000VIDEOS Yea gibsons usually are shitty in quality overall but this guitars weight is amazing its perfect not to light to where it feels cheap but not to heavy where itll break your back at a gig i played many shows with it and still going strong buy this guitar!

  • I will soon get this guitar and play good metal on it for a change. Metalcore is fine, not my thing though. Thank you for playing good music with your Eclipse man. A damn fine guitar. :)

  • could you tell me a little about your rig pla

  • holy wars!!!!!!!!! and awesome guitar! :)

  • should i buy this or jackson dkmgt?

  • wow! this sounds a lot better clean than you'd expect from emgs!

  • HARVESTER OF SORROW !!!!

  • It's the ltd ec 1000. 800 bucks I believe

  • @SlickEnz with tax its about 880 i got a warranty though for ten years of complete coverage for like 80 more bucks

  • @SlickEnz nice playing man. i m between this guitar and the ESP LTD MH-1000FR. is it fast playing guitar?

  • Is that the ESP ltd ec1000 or the ESP eclipse II standard? Big difference in price and if it's the eclipse II then I'll spring the extra $800 cuz it sounds awesome

  • @fxstsozz

    It's the LTD EC 1000. $800 I believe.

  • seasons of the abyss ! great playing!

  • I have ttht same guitar clock!! Ha

  • MEGADETH DUDE :d

  • I love your amplifier set up man. I love this guitar too, hopefully getting one soon. Probably the same finish too. I think the vintage black looks the best

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!! Great choice of tunes, GREAT playing and AWESOME rig. And, ofc, I wanna do this guitar so bad...

  • Hey, great rig right there, but i notice that when you did the clean sound of Harvester you failed, it's not on the 5th fret on the D string, it's an open G string. But nevermind that! Your sound is beautiful! Love it 5/5

  • SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

i really want to buy this guitar but am unfamiliar with the locking tuners and tonespro locking bridge, does this mean its a real hassle to change tunings like a floyd rose?

  • @DemirGuitar94 No dude, you tune ir by the normal way

  • @DemirGuitar94 the main hassle is changing tunings whenever u want, just get the fixed bridge u will be better off, ive been playing a FR for years and i ended up just blocking the darn thing from both sides because i change tunings so much

  • Is the song at 0:52 Harvester of Sorrow?

  • You think this a good guitar for other genres besides metal. I'm and metal head and love the action but looking for something versatile.

  • you are amazing, how long have you been playing?

  • what is the price of this guitar ???

  • @MilosLP4EVER Something like 555€ :)

  • you are the first guy that actually play the guitar instead of talk for 3 minutes and play 45 seconds

this is how all the guitar vids should be.

  • Nice video dude :D - The clean sound was amazing! Are there any kinds of effect on it! ? iknow you're not using any pedals, but is there any effects on the patch ?

  • @baune121

Yeah there are a couple of things activated on it like chorus, reverb, and compression. Just a little touch of each really.

  • what pieces of equipment do you have in you rack?

  • @TheSkacoolio

    Marshall EL-34 100/100 Power Amp

    Rocktron Prophesy II

    Line 6 XDS95 Wireless system

    Furman power strip

  • OMG! *Jaw drops* that clean tone sounds heavenly

  • HOoooooooooooly Waaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrs !

    lol sry got excited .

  • HARVESTOR OF SORROW!!!!!!!!!

  • such an expensive rig and u don't have a footswitch controler from clean to distorted?

  • @mottaveigajunior

I don't need one. I don't play live, the only thing I do is record music. So no footswitch is needed.

  • METALLICA!!

  • how much did you pay for your wireless?

and how do you get that sick crunch out of a marshall? what pedals you use.

  • @Derekrm14

I believe the wireless was $400-500 range. It's a great wireless. As for the crunch, no pedals at all, it's all the Rocktron Prophesy II with a custom patch I made for it. Straight from the Prophesy into the Marshall, out to the Marshall cab. No need for pedals of any kind.

  • @SlickEnz oh ok all that shit adds up i hope your using it for a good cause! haha sick equipment.

  • hey, are that EMG's?

what's that light that moves while you play?

  • @nicolasgeldhof

1.EMG's are 81 in the bridge and 60 in the neck.

2.The lights are my wireless system showing the volume levels.

  • Are that EMG's your pickups?

  • Hey, what's that box above your amp head, that moves all the time you play?

  • HARVESTER OF SORROOOOOOOOOOOW!!!

  • Currently selling one of these £600 ono message me for info.

  • Great sound!

Hey, What's the differenc between the EC-401 and the EC-1000 deluxe?

  • HOOOOLY WAAARS!!

  • thank you for keeping your guitar at concert pitch and not like all those down tuned idiots on youtube playing esp eclipses...sounds good!

  • Harvest of Sorrow! good song choice to play :)

  • if anybody has a ec 1000 for trade or sell hit me up i got a extra gibson sg for trade if anybody is intrested

  • nice amps

  • good sund in clean

  • Old Megadeth sweet!!!

  • Sounds sick but is it any good for soloing?

  • Depends on what kind of soloing you're looking for. Obviously not good for divebombs/etc, and it's EMG 81/60, which personally I don't feel is the best soloing pickups, but it does okay I suppose.

I personally wouldn't get this guitar if you were focussing on soloing.

  • Hey dude can you do a review on the Rocktron Prophesy 2 you used in this video?

  • I never thought about it. I'll try and get around to doing that soon. I'll say right now the thing is awesome and very customizable. It's a great unit.

  • I love this guitar. But I am selling mine, go to my page to see the video for details.

  • niceeeeeeeeeeee rig dude

  • Eww....Marshall amps....waaaaaaaaaaay too digital.

  • @meah941

    It's a Marshall EL 34 100/100 Power amp.

  • just got the esp!

  • @Skater4shreder What ESP u get

  • can you give me your eq settings? this tone is killer

  • What's the last song he played????

  • out of interest how is the classic rock/ blues rock sound on this thing?

  • Comment removed

  • whats the box on top of the amp head?

  • First thing right above the amp head is the Rocktron Prophesy II, then above that is the LINE 6 Wireless system, and the other thing above that is a Rackrider.

  • what the hell was that HIGH suddenly noice?

  • Can't wait to get this guitar! I'm going to order it as soon as i get some more cash. Sounds fucking nice!

Comin' for you we're the cowboys from hell

should have got that in there =)

  • sick guitar man

  • nothing against metalcore but its nice to see someone playing something else with this guitar. also, nice socks! rock on.

  • what's your amp?

  • Was a Marshall EL-34 100/100 Power amp using a Rocktron Prophesy II preamp.

  • HOLY WARS!!!

    HARVESTER OF SORROW!!!

You're cool just by playing those song :)

    Nice rig by the way.

  • HARVESTER OF SORROW

    you rock, great guitar

  • I have the same guitar only in left handed! It has awesome string locks on the tuners but one problem. There's something wrong with my volume knob. When you turn it to 0 you hear nothinng but when you turn it up a little bit, it goes as loud as it can. It's like you hear nothing, then you hear it at full sound. Is that how it's made or is there a way to fix it? someone reply please~!

  • Thats the way all three of my guitars are. I can hear no difference between like 1 and 10. I have a Schecter Damien FR, a Ibanez RG321MH, and a BC Rich Warlock

  • Is it only when it's distorted? Cause pedals will do that. If you use amp distortion it should be different with different volume levels.

  • i didn't know Ben Roethlisburger played guitar :p

  • Do you recommend this guitar? I'd say i'm playing basically the same stuff as you, your

tone sounds great, and by reading the comments there's

    not many problems?

  • Yeah I'd recommend the entire Eclipse line. I actually have an ESP Distressed Eclipse now with Duncan pickups that I love even more than the Eclipse in this video.

Pretty much every Eclipse I've ever played has been amazing.

    No problems at all.

  • Thanks mate, ill be looking into this guitar. Rock on!

  • why do you love the eclipse more? you prefer 22 frets? or you prefer the sound? or the feel?

  • More than what? I wouldn't say I love it any more than my Explorer, or my ESP M-II or Tiger. I love them pretty equally for different reasons.

The Eclipse, especially the distressed one, is just about everything I want in a guitar. It's got a great feel and great sound. A good combo with a JB and 59 pickup set as well, in my opinion.

  • I love your tone. It looks like you have spent a good bit of money for your rig. I want a half stack but my neighbors don't like metal as much as me.

  • Thank you. I have spent several thousand dollars on the rig. In this video, I totaled it up to about $3,200. Not including the guitar of course.

  • What´s the name of the song you played?

  • Three different songs:

    1.Holy Wars by Megadeth

    2.Harvester of Sorrow by Metallica

3.Seasons in the Abyss by Slayer

    In that order..

  • hey nice guitar. im planning on getting one. i read somewhere that its very heavy, is that true? and does it have any intonation problems with changing strings?

  • I didn't think it was heavy at all. I own a Jackson KE and it's by far the heaviest guitar I've ever owned, the Eclipse's don't even come close to heavy in my opinion.

I changed the strings on it maybe 3 or 4 times, nothing at all wrong with it afterwards, stayed perfectly in tune with no buzzing of any kind.

  • I played one of these guitars last week and it is the lightest guitar I've ever played!

  • how should i know? How about telling where you live for a start

  • Lots of reviews say there's a problem with the intonation on the EC-1000. Have you ever experienced this?

  • Nope, never have. I own two Eclipses and I've not had a problem with either of them.

  • ok cool. thanks for taking the time and writing back. i appreciate it.

  • Gonna buy this guitar on saturday:)

  • wow amazing songs, amazing guitar

i just played one today and it really is a f***ing awesome guitar

  • awesome! i just bought a vox valvetronix xl 15 series amp and i need a new guitar with some nice emgs i was thinking of this guitar but i can in no way afford it right now lol

  • Could you possibly make a quick "classick rock" type sound test on this guitar?

I'm thinking about buying one but all I find is heavytones or absolute cleans.

  • Normally I would be I recently sold the guitar off because I had too many EMG guitars. I can give you my opinion though. This guitar is a metal machine with good cleans. That's pretty much all it does well. Classic rock tones with EMG 81's just doesn't sound good to me.

  • sounds nice and beefy like a proper les paul

  • emgs in my opinion can get any tone you want out of them you just have to eq the amp right.

  • BTW love your sound on the harvester part!

  • Thanks!

  • what song u play here man?

  • I think:

    Megadeth - Holy wars

    Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow

    third: ?

  • Correct on the first two, third song is "Seasons in the Abyss" by Slayer.

  • which ec-1000 deluxe is it? color i meant vintage black or black?

  • Mine is Vintage Black.

  • wow a little question is this guitar havier than a mh I have an mh1000 i want to know because im gonna buy one of those please some one can share the information thanks a lot

    Emmanuel CR!

  • Megadeth!

  • so what's the difference between the eclipse and the VB

  • Nothing. VB is just an Abbreviation for Vintage Black. It just has an Ebony Fretboard as opposed to Rosewood on the See-thru models.

  • Nice playing man, whats in the rack you got there?

  • Marshall EL34 100/100 Power amp

    Rocktron Prophesy II

    Line 6 X2 XDR 95 Wireless system

    That's it.

  • quite similar to Mustaine rack ( Rocktron + Marshall), so muisc is good for this presentation;)

  • HOOOLY WARRSSS

  • thanx for your help!

  • amazing, what a great sound!

i am looking for a guitar a long while.

but could you tell me what better is:

    the EMG 81/85

    or the EMG 81/60

  • I prefer the 81/60 combo personally. I love the warm clean sound of the 60 and the 81 is the ultimate crunch. It's all a personal preference though.

  • Your just like me dude. I love the 81/60 combo. The 81 has a lot of chunk and crunch and the 60 is really warm and thick on clean channels.

  • you played "One" riff totaly wrong.. :-)

  • Yep, so much so that it turned into "Harvester of Sorrow"

    =P

  • haha^^

  • wow great tone man. what kind of compression are you using? also do you have a maximizer on there? sounds so crisp.

  • Thank you, no compressor on it. The Prophesy II has a built in compressor, but I turn it off for the heavier stuff. No maximizer on it.

  • What do i buy? a EC-1000 or EC-500, Ive heard that there's not much difference in playability and sound.

  • They are very similar. I'm sure if you got the EC-500 it would be almost impossible to tell a difference between the two.

  • the ec-1000 has better hardware and doesnt have the cutaways so looks better IMO

  • Go to a local guitar store and check some out there. And order online

  • 1000 = versatile... well more so then the 500

  • dude i have the 1000 and i think its a lot better than 500. its really comfortable and the hardware is good

  • Are you using the bride or neck PU? Is sounds like your using the bride which is more for the lead parts. The 60 at the neck would sound fuller/warmer.

  • Actually you're wrong on that, the bridge pickup (EMG 81) is for the main riffing and the neck pickup (EMG 60) is for solos/cleans.

The only time I use the EMG 60 in the videos is for the clean section on "Harvester of Sorrow."

Hetfield uses his EMG 81 for his main riffage and the EMG 60 for all his cleans.

  • But if you go to EMG's website they say almost the exact opposite. Check it out when you get a chance. I am confused now lol.

  • Yeah I know they do, they don't know their own pickups! lol

Seriously though, there is no law against using the 60 for the rhythm parts, but to my ears, they are far too muffled to make a good chugging sound, where as the 81 has a nice clear chug.

Many guitars out there come with EMG 81/81 combos, but you NEVER see a 60/60 combo.

Matter of fact, you can listen to the clips on EMG's site, listen to both of them dirty, the 60 sounds muffled, and the 81 is super clear.

  • Yeah, I understand your point. I kinda like the bride pick up for lead and rhythm myself. You should post a vid of your equipment, you seem to have some nice stuff. I plan on doing it after X-mas when I get my new AMP.

  • ok, thanks man!

  • dang dude, that was one of the best sounding amps i've heard, what type of head did you get and how much did it cost ya?

  • Thanks for the compliment!

The amp head is a Marshall EL34 100/100 Power amp. It cost about $1900 a year ago, not sure what they cost now.

Most of the sound you hear though comes from the Rocktron Prophesy II effects processor though.

  • Nice vid I got the same Megadeth poster :)...that guitar is a beast, I tried it out in my local music store and you gotta love the sound. But I'm a V lover so I was thinking of buying the V-500 and get a emg 60 in the neck, that would be so cool.

  • First off, GREAT sound, GREAT choice in music, and GREAT guitar, and GREAT playing my friend. Is that a Rocktron Prophesy II that I see there? I've got one, but am using a VHT power amp. Have been thinking about going with the Marshall. How's it working out for you?

  • Thanks for the compliments! Yeah it's a Prophesy II, I'm very happy with the Marshall setup, for me, it's the ultimate sound I've been looking for since I was like 12 years old. Couldn't recommend it more! Thanks for watching!
