I devoured the main feature and all the extras in two days. I savored every minute of the two discs. "Get Lamp" is a masterpiece. It will surely be a shot-in-the-arm for the cult of modern IF reader-players and writers. Bravo. Oh yes, you also receive a souvenir "What Do You Want to Do Next?" numbered coin with every movie. Mine is #2914. In a perfect world, it would be #2,914,000. What Do You Want To Do Next, Jason Scott? I will be watching. I promise.

A computer is not only a machine. Or it would just be an appliance. It is PROGRAMMABLE! This is the KEY difference. Which is, why using computers without their purpose—to automate things—is not actually *using* it. It’s just playing with an appliance. Which is, why the iPad (and most things Windows and Apple) is not even a computer (for the user). It’s an appliance. And it’s pretty disgusting.

@Evi1M4chine basic programming needs to be revived (or something equivalent), there needs to be an accessible and fun language so that the masses of computer owners can become programmers once more, like before. Games and programs need to be once more a thing that a single person can create and spread around. never mind multi-million gaming houses that create games that or not necessarily more entertaining....
