  • Why uncensored?

  • @TheFrigoriferox3000 The mix/version title on the CD is 'Uncensored'

I'm guessing here, but maybe because it's got the word that's the anagram of 'sith' said at the end narration?; 'I mean what's with all this Justified Ancients of Mu Mu {anagram of 'sith'}?'

I know that's quite tame and only really perceptible at the end during the fade out!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Ok, thanks! :)

  • @TheFrigoriferox3000 At 8:42 there is someone in the background that says "What is with all this Justified and Ancients of Mu Mu shit". On the original WTIL though it does say "Kick out the Jams motherfuckers" a sample from MC5's Kick Out The Jams song, it wasn't used on America:WTIL though.

  • @darrenforster99 Actually from looking at the inlay information recently, I think the person that narrates that was Melissa Belland (one of the sisters in the Anglo-American group "Voice Of The Beehive")

  • Yep I had this record, although to the poster, there is no thrash style guitar in here, yep the used sample is hard rock/metal though

  • @WhoresOfBabylon That was the description used at the time to promote it...

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus fair enough, although it goes to show you that the promoter didn`t know what he was talking about, heh heh

  • @WhoresOfBabylon it could be wrong, of course!

  • Was the best mix of any KLF song. Played it so much it deteriorated and couldn't get a replacement copy. Immense.

  • @DMmjb Glad ya like it. :) I can't say I think it's the best mix of any KLF track, tough; I find this is a bit too "rocky" for what's basically a dance track.

  • i shat my bed when i first heard this!11 (was in bed anyways, ands had diannasorearse, so when i got excited, i shit-a-bits. Love them tuneses. Literally. Can prove it.

  • @ferretchimp TMI...

  • I love how everyone's talking about when America was "founded" in the comments section of a K.L.F song

  • @Foxdodge That's because KLF claimed that "The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu" had discovered America in the year 992, and the reason for the track was a celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the discovery.

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus That's what's so funny, it's supposed to be a joke lol!

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus read Robert Anton Wilson's the illuminatus trilogy , that was the book which inspired this song.

  • Glenn Hughes: The Voice Of Rock!!

  • @Allingoodtime2011 Sure is! :D

  • Mu is a mythical lost civilization somewhere between North America and Asia in the Pacific Ocean. There are many myths about it in Pacific Islander cultures of today. So this myth might just be true. If you have seen "The Mysterious Cities Of Gold" TV show, it is referenced alot as an important plot arc. But in the English dub "Mu" is changed to "Hiva".It is kept as "Mu" in the French and Japanese dubs.

  • Brings back fuching freaking memories of me listening to this music in the gym in the early 90's. Titanic power to my arms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song is simple but great

  • ACE!

  • Glad you liked it! :D

  • Great Song....KLF the One and Only!!!!

  • KLF - THE band that ever was, no mistake! :)

  • but why 992?

  • I think the joke was that, since Columbus discovered America in 1592, and so 1992 would be the 500th anniversary, The JAMS claimed they had found it 500 years before Columbus did, hence 992.

  • Colombo arrivò in america nel 1492!

  • Well spotted! Bloody typo on my part! :-S

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus Am i wrong, but, was America not already occupied ? And, also, there is evidence to the contrary suggesting it's "discovery" occurred way before Columbus. But none of this has anything to do with what The KLF are actually referring too. Don't bother trying to look, you're too blind to see.

  • @Shadegat3 History has it that Columbus discovered it in 1492, whether that's false is going to be extremely, if not impossible, to prove.

  • @arglwyddanfradwrus not realy difficult to prove because Rosalyn chapel was built before Columbus discovered America and it has carvings of plants only found in America .

  • @wichywoo OK, I stand corrected! :)

  • KLF made it ;)

  • The competitor)))))))

  • Yes, I sure am! :P
