why are only some in HD?

Because I have an old (non-HD) camera and outdated video editing software. I experiment with different video formats trying to find one that translates well to YouTube.

I prefer the HQ over HD because it seems like HD has a lower frame rate and looks more choppy in these kind of videos.

Interesting. I bought an HD camera and the biggest problem I have is that the videos are in the .mov format which of course transfers to YouTube easily however, Windows Movie Maker can not use that format. When I convert it to .avi, I lose the HD.
