  • update. 4.6 went to 5.4 dohc, t-56 then messed up at 5000k miles and now is a 3.8l out of a 2004 with 30k miles, new paint all new

  • nice have fun with the v8

  • and if you pull a engine from a f150. you must get a intake from a vic or a stage or it will not fit under hood. and with truck intake you have less rated power at higher rpm. only way i would do a swap agian. is for a 5.4 DOHC

  • if i would have known about the brake having to be swapped. it can be completed in 12 hours from start to finish. its not hard if you have all parts. if i were you i would supercharge my v6. i regret swapping in the v8. its not any more powerfully really. and if you use AC youll have to buy new hoses for them to work.

  • brake booster has to be swapped to hydro boost (runs on your power steering) your ecu. ecu harness that runs from inside firewall to passenger headlight. headlight harness that runs around front and back into drivers side firewall. and your drive shaft must have new end put on to match the t-45 tranny. i did my whole swap for less than a grand. JUNK YARD will be your friend. other than ecu

  • was the doner car another Mustang or was it out of a Crown Vic, F-150? Ive thought about the swap but figured all the suspension work and brake swaps would make it less practical then a FI setup..maybe just dropping a m-90 out of a Thunderbird supercoupe would be alot less hassle. I rebuilt my 3.8 so its solid enough for a bit of FI.. the swap wasnt that bad??

  • what all had to be changed for this swap?

  • grats bro welcome to the v8 world
