IMO, GTA VCS is better bcuz I think the gameplay of Vice City is shit. I can't even bare to play and do the missions. Anyways, GTA VCS has excitement to me. You swim, SPRINT WITH HEAVY GUNS, all sorts of awesome things than vice city. Vice City sucks to me anyways. Oh and also I think the GTA VCS's graphics are better :D

The main thing I don't like about Vice City (And GTA 3) is that you can't rotate the camera with the right analog stick, it switches to a first person view instead.

At least on VCS and LCS you can rotate the camera, you can move it up and down as well, which is good for seeing further ahead while driving.

Vice City Stories (VCS) is good and bad in ways and Vice City (VC) is good and bad in different ways

For Example: i think the radio stations on VC are cooler than VCS, but when you finish the story in VC there is hardly anything to do left, but in VCS you own your own empire of Loan Shark, Protection Racket, Prostitution ;), Drugs, Smuggling, and Robberies. So its anyone's decision of which game is better. Tell me what you think!

In graphics and storyline vice city rocks but i think gta vcs is better cuz u can swim, there is the ferris wheel, you can change cloths directly in ur house, it has morre choppers and planes and you can also use the golf course! 100% complete? then you can see the cut scenes in the vice point safehouse.(P.s there is the BMX cycle)

For the record, the two games don`t look that apart in terms of application of color and detail.

It's mainly in the way that the game renders everything, and the way that they didn't do the best job of downscaling and changing the colour depth (only 4 bit in VCS) of the textures. That, and they replaced the car dirt maps with SA ones and added a crappy reflection system.

The roads in VCS are more sharp, but I like how Vice City's Map and HUD have that tropical pink and aqua around them. I have to say that graphic-wise, VCS looks better because it's more sharp. But I really like Vice City's warmer colors (especially driving down Vice Beach).

in my opinion vice city, but ill give you the facts...

vice city pros: awsome storyline, decent graphics, modest physics engine, easy controls, good weapons, and overall a reliable disk and nowadays you can get gta vice city for 4 bucks.

cons:overall the timeframes of each gta game are confusing to a point: drivings a tad unrealistic,though graphics are good not the best for the time

vc's cars have much better handling. vcs sucks because of arcade crashes (lcs too). But on psp you can remake all the cars into vc's using cwcheat & Sunshine customs. I made so and now I have the best game on psp! There are great changes in physics. Sorry for my English

@Rtv03 Well the first GTA I played was Vice City, so I know it very well, I've never played Vice City Stories. If you liked the things you could do in San Andreas, maybe you could try Vice City Stories first since you can do things like in San Andreas, you play a black guy like in San Andreas, it has police motorcycles like in San Andreas, etc (Keep in mind that Vice City Stories hasn't got all of the San Andreas features). But you can also try Vice City, but it could be more limited for you.
