I was sure one of those poles was gonna get hit, taking out about 100 people all around! Sickest music/nature combo ever! Glad we all survived, including the all night drive through the rain to Atlanta.
I was there... Hurricane Danny made its landfall nearby during the show. I remember I had a big garbage bag over my body 'cause it was raining so freakin' hard & the sound of the rain drops smacking the bag sounded CRAZY!
The craziest thing, in my opinion, was during 'Taste' an enormous bolt of lightning struck a tree north of Walnut Creek. Everyone on the lawn could see the flames from the aftermath of the bolt. At that point I was in freak-out mode; after all, the lawn has many tall poles
@bootsisaliar awh man, was that not some scary sh*t!?! I was convinced lightning was going to strike one of the steel poles in the lawn! LOL, thank god it didn't happen but, the fear of electrocution practically ruined the 1st set for me. :-(
