Yeah at the time Mohra ended up being a even BIGGER hit to it's "rival" movie in some respects, KHALNAYAK! One interesting fact to note is that Rajiv Rai always preferred to take stars who were relatively "new" in the industry as oppossed to BIG names, less hassle in his opinion.. as is evident in his movies like Mohra, Gupt, Pyar Ishq aur Mohabbat, and Asambhav....all starred actors who were relatively new at the time...

The artists in this song could be called as great lost talent in Hindi cinema.Divya Bharati could have reached the top if she remained in films but died so young.Amrish Puri is also no more but he was well recognized for his performance as villian during his time.Sonam left cinema soon after her marriage but she never knew that she would have to leave the country as well due to underworld threats.She was one of the most beautiful but underrated actresses of her time.We miss all three of them!

I beg to differ. Divya had just started climbing the ladder of her career. Like any other newcomer she was just getting started and was recognised for her beauty and talent. She had memorable hits like Deewana, Dil Ashna Hai, Shola aur Shabnam and Rang. Her sudden death had nothing to do with her popularity. Even other actresses like Sridevi, Tabu and others replaced her in the movies she unfortunately couldn't complete.
