I attended the Dallas portion of the Grandmaster Tour and this video very well captures its spirit. Never have I experienced such a deeper sense of community and brother/sisterhood. Famoudou and Mamady answered all the questions peppered at them, delivered spectacular performances and unsurpassed instruction. I would give up food for this, it nourished my soul. By the way, Famoudou is not confused, he's fun-loving! Loves a good joke!
@Nebrox Famoudou's not confused, he's just pretending. At their level, they can pretty much play anything the other one throws at them, but it makes for a more fun show with a bit of clowning :) This is a classic example of that - great video!
Great video. I was able to go to Famoudou's workshop in Phoenix that was part of the same Grandmaster's Tour. A real once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Two Grandmasters having fun on djembe.
I love how Mamady plays little phrases that are short but very difficult to imitate.
He knows just what to play to confuse Famoudou.
Great video.
