K&N Cold Air Intake Sound on Dodge Ram 1500 4.7l V8

Recently installed the same kit on my 2007 dodge ram. Wondering about eh full throttle sound while accelerating. Mine has a full mopar performance exhaust system starting with headers then high flow cats out to a magna flow inspired cat back system. Sounds sweet but the full throttle acceleration sound fromt eh intake is not exactly waht I expected (still sounds far better than the stock intake).

@KCPLjayhawk tell me about it, but when i bought it in 2007 the price difference between hemi 5.7 and the magnum 4.7 that i have was 5000 dolars.

how much was the k&n? was it hard to put in yourself?

@panchov on the K&N web site is about 330$, and i have found it on ebay from K&N dealer, for 220 dolars with free shipping. beware that not all 2005 dodge ram 1500 V8 4.7 magnum engines are not the same.when the kit arrived,had two missing part, the extencion for the Air_temp Sensor and the conector for the crankcase hose. they have send the kit for the 2002 engine models. and called K&N and they have overnight them, and next day i instal them. its takes 2 hours for removing old and instal new

@panchov I just put one of these on today on my Jeep Commander (Ram and Commander share same engine)

and..... It was a pain. Idk about the Ram but the jeep it has a few things in the way of the piping so you gotta remove alot of old things, but all together took me about 40 minutes
