Bette always took what she wanted by the balls, I can't see her character secretly yearning to be ASKED to carry a child. I think Bette would just turn around & tell Tina it was her turn to have a baby
@InvaderChrissy That's true, but this is something personal and a sensitive matter and at times like these, Bette is weak. Like when Tina first lost the baby in the very beginning, Bette kept things to herself until she was worn down and broken. Bette has been like this through the show. This is one of those things Bette would keep to herself just because she loves Tina and wouldn't want to jeopardize anything, but it still eats her up.

As much as we want to hear about Jenny, the detectives must be getting quite impatient too. I guess this could be the characters' lame attempts at throwing them off. I really only believe Niki's confession. Everyone else is just traumatized or 'acting' or something (Helena, lol).

In fact, in season 5, during the home scene, Bette originally tells Tina she wants to carry the baby but this version of the scene was cut. So, no this makes little sense. Bette is more emotionally sensitive, but not to this point. She would have felt comfortable letting Tina know her wishes. Also, Tina wouldn't have denied her this wish.

I think the thing about all these interrogation tapes is to give fans insight on character's internal conflict. True, these interrogations seem more like therapy than trying to find our who killed Jenny...but the thing is that they never called Jenny's death a murder.
In the finale when Alice said something along the lines of, "What the hell does this have to do with who killed Jenny?" is when the idea (in LAPD's mind) that Jenny's death was a murder. So all this talking and whatnot is just a way to see who cracks about who killed Jenny...
Does anyone else feel like we're being played? 1st Tina: was molested? 2nd Shane: burned down her own shop 3rd Helena: flirting uncontrollable w/ Duffy 4th Bette: baby issues 5th Max: scrubbed the bathroom floor with Jenny's toothbrush 6th Niki: stole the negatives. There are not proper questions to ask in a case of murder, so the only explanation is that it should follow a movie, otherwise these tapes fuck up the entire show. Agree with all that said this doesn't make any sense! Two words: BAD WRITING!!! Come on! Bette would have totally brought this topic up to Tina. In fact, in season 5, during the home scene, Bette originally tells Tina she wants to carry the baby but this version of the scene was cut. So, no this makes little sense. Bette is more emotionally sensitive, but not to this point. She would have felt comfortable letting Tina know her wishes. Also, Tina wouldn't have denied her this wish.

I think the thing about all these interrogation tapes is to give fans insight on character's internal conflict. True, these interrogations seem more like therapy than trying to find our who killed Jenny...but the thing is that they never called Jenny's death a murder.

In the finale when Alice said something along the lines of, "What the hell does this have to do with who killed Jenny?" is when the idea (in LAPD's mind) that Jenny's death was a murder. So all this talking and whatnot is just a way to see who cracks about who killed Jenny...

4. These tapes make sense only if a movie will follow them, if it's not the case, the tapes destroy the entire show.
5. Bette would rather talk this with Tina not with a stranger, and I think that if Tina disappointed Bette so much the marring question from the final episode would not make sense. Bette would not ask Tina in marriage with such unresolved issue between them.

I totally agree with you, without a movie which can solve these secrets, the interrogation is a nonsense. There are not proper questions to ask in a case of murder, so the only explanation is that it should follow a movie, otherwise these tapes fuck up the entire show.
