Is it possible to use the escape way in Bowser's Castle the other way around?

I always escaped in time so I did not know what exactly happened if it ran out. Thanks for telling me. That would probably suck if that bomb screwed you over and you had to fight that long boss battle again.

Well, I played the German version so I didn't quite know what her accurate name was.

If you are wondering. I somehow, by chance, managed to get beamed up to the top of the screen behind the throne in the final room. That's why I tested if this could maybe skip the whole castle.^^ But it seems, I only got beamed up because of the weird wall in that particular room.
