They are indeed Seismic 85mm 79a Speed Vents. I'm not so happy with them tho. They don't really increase my speed...but they are a little lighter than the 97mm wheels I had, so they are a bonus.

Even though you walked part of the hill, I'm still amazed by what you can ride over. Those hills look brutal. Looks like you got some new wheels and moved some of the old pair to the trailer. I've asked about the uphills and seen you deal with them here, but downhills, how do you bleed off speed? I have a tandem bike and have also toured loaded solo, so I know how the extra load must make you accelerate. Do you drag your feet or can you carve off some speed with the trailer. Great video!

Thanks! On the downhills, it all depends on which way the wind is blowing! If I've got a good headwind, then arms spread out to create an 'air brake' works well to keep the speed under 30km/h. Otherwise, I foot drag. Foot dragging is tough on the shoes, but I switch foot braking feet every now and then to even out the wear. Even then, a good pair of shoes will last a solid 5,000km. Carving is often not an option due to traffic, and the trailer is not stable enough yet to carve at speed.
