If this had been done in 2008 it would have been a good idea, now it is too little too late. How many union members do you know that lost their retirement savings?
@apperkins That's a fallacy. That money must first be stolen from the private sector, with the government taking some off the top, to give to other people to spend in the private sector. It makes no sense. You only destroy wealth that way.
@AynRandFanJG Please try to default the nation against like you guys just tried to and failed doing, so the entire country continues to understand further what stupidity Randian philosophy is.
@apperkins Your sentence is incoherent. Ayn Rand never advocated government deficits - which is the only reason that we would have gone into default, genius.
@dbloch6592 What a typical response from a low-grade moron. Trickle down economics has nothing to do with liberty you dolt. You seem to think that the only people who advocate for liberty are advocates of Reaganomics, apparently. You are clearly oblivious to the reality that both the Democrats and the Republicans are corporatists who try to manage the economy for special interest and corporate gain. Liberty is how most jobs are created, not government decree, simpleton.
@AynRandFanJG I know all too well that both parties are corporatists. But liberty does not create jobs. If that were true, there would be no such thing as recessions or depressions. What you consider "liberty" creates waste and greed, not jobs.
@dbloch6592 If liberty doesn't create jobs what does? Do you think government creates jobs? Government can only create after first taking. There is no wealth creation. Jobs are created when people out of GREED choose to trade their productive energies for goods or services which help them achieve security, comfort of pleasure. When people are free to live their lives as they see fit they are able to trade for things they care about, which is what creates jobs.
@AynRandFanJG Haa, that actually made me laugh. Greed doesn't cause people to buy things or to work, need does. I didn't buy a new computer out of greed. No matter what Ayn Rand may have told you, there is no virtue in selfishness. The funny thing is, corporations are allowed to do pretty much whatever they want and there seems to be a lack of jobs available... I have no problem with government creating jobs. When the private sector fails what do we do? Wait for it to fix itself while we suffer?
@dbloch6592 Need = Greed. If you want to feed yourself you are greedy, because you could give that to someone else. If you want to cloth yourself you are greedy, because you could have given those cloths to someone else. If you want to entertain yourself you are greedy, because you could give money to the needy instead. Interesting definition of greed you seem to have.
The government doesn't create jobs, net. They destroy them because they destroy value. Private sector hasn't failed, govt has.
And what do people do who want to satisfy their greed and get a job to but stuff but can't because the corporate whores have shipped their jobs overseas to bolster their bottom line? You say government can't create jobs, well corporations WILL NOT create jobs unless they are in China or India paying $10 a week. Hows your "free market" working out for us so far?
@diamondmask You conflate free market with corporatism. The free market is what allows individuals to provide goods and services that others want at prices that make consumers happy. Nothing you have said gives any credence to the argument that government needs to steal from the people of America in order to create jobs.
@diamondmask Yup, GE perfect example and paid NO tax's. Friends of the government getting away with murder while we suffer. How about lowering the taxs for corporations, how about lowering the cost of labor. How about focusing on the true reasons why jobs go over seas. Its the regulastions that are killing jobs, EPA and their green house gas BS. Cap and TAX Coal plan will but shutdown loosing 3000 jobs, because of regulations. Its the fault of the Big Government mentality killing this country
@plorenz88 When the FAA wasn't able to charge taxes to the airlines recently, airfare prices didn't drop...airlines just kept the prices the same and pocketed the difference. Wherever did your math go wrong in that case?
Well the rich job creators aren't creating jobs and haven't in a long time, unless you count the jobs created overseas. So why not tax the rich and create jobs doing infrastructure improvements here at home? Makes sense to me!!
@AynRandFanJG We aren't STEALING anything. Asking the rich to pay their fair taxes is not stealing! And before anyone starts quoting irrelevant facts about how much the rich PAY in taxes lets be clear. The MIDDLE CLASS pay the most in taxes based off of percentage of wealth. I did not say INCOME. What the sheep repuglicant's always try to quote is INCOME. The rich don't have large amounts of income because most of their wealth is created by CAPITAL GAINS which is taxed at a lower rate. FAIR??
@FrankG912 If you ask the rich to pay their "fair" share, and they refuse, then do you simply turn around and let them be? If not, you are STEALING. Taxation is THEFT. It is not voluntary. And if you are so concerned about wealth vs. income, then why do the idiots who talk about the rich paying their fair share focus on income taxes?
@AynRandFanJG TAXATION is Theft? Your argument is now worthless based on that one comment. The 16th Amendment to the Constitution would state otherwise. So please move on...
And to add one point, if you don't want to pay taxes, don't! I don't want to see you drive a car on MY roads, send your kids to public school paid for by my taxes, or ask for help from a police officer, firefighter, or paramedic who is paid for by MY taxes. I can agree with most Paul supporters, but not you.
@FrankG912 Just because theft is codified doesn't make it not theft. If I take your money from you is it theft? If so, why is it that the government can do the same but it is not theft? No need to move on, answer the contradiction. If the government can steal from you and it is not theft, can they kill you without it being murder?
They aren't your roads, you are a serf. They just allow you to use them. I would never send my kids to public schools. Why do you want my money so badly?
@luvitluvitbaby You're irrational. Roads existed before taxation, they exist today without taxation all over the world, as well. People can voluntarily fund law enforcement, this exists as well. There are private parks and clean streets in private neighborhoods. Don't lose it because you can't comprehend that taxation is theft.
@luvitluvitbaby Roads - the US, Australia, Great Britain to name a few. Law enforcement, all over the united states in private communities. And just because the government tries to monopolize something doesn't mean that better alternatives don't exist. Taxation is theft, if you want to argue that theft is somehow justified, go for it, but it is still theft.
@luvitluvitbaby Are you retarded? Have you ever heard of private toll roads? Have you ever heard of gated communities with their own police force? Or universities? Seriously, do you think before writing?
@AynRandFanJG I think you need to learn history a little better. For example, the Romans built roads before, did it from TAXES and SLAVE labor. And your other points are just as useless. "Voluntarily fund police" So you want more corporations? So what happens when I don't pay my fee (TAX) for my local voluntary police department and I get assaulted. Do I just deal with it? If I am murdered and didn't pay my fee (TAX) is my family just SOL in getting justice?
@FrankG912 You need to learn history a little better. Romans weren't the only ones building roads. And I'm glad you highlighted TAXES and SLAVEs because they are part of the same package. And I didn't say I wanted corporations, I just want a voluntary society where people aren't bullied by the state. You ask what happens when you don't pay your fee, well what happens when I don't pay your Tax. You MAY get assaulted, I WILL get assaulted. You have no concept of justice.
@AynRandFanJG and if I was poor how am I to use your private roads or private police? I need to get a job, but the only ones are across town on your private road. If I can't pay your fee (TAX) I will now be arrested by your private police paid for by your fee (TAX) that puts me in jail. Sounds like only the rich will ever win in your society. Remember the constitution says to "promote the general Welfare." Taxes help that. Now if you want to talk about eliminating unfair taxes, we can talk.
Just what we need, a plan to create 2 million government jobs and the pensions that go with them. Who will pay for it? The already over burdened American. Typical of this set to suggest that the means to get out of the hole is to dig it deeper.
@TheGhostrider420 The American has never been less "burdened" by taxes in modern history. The biggest hole we have right now is employment and under-pay...corporate profits are at an all-time high, workers' share of wages at an all-time low, and employment is down. So I say, hell yeah, raise taxes on the guys who have been squeezing this country for decades. If they hate paying taxes so much, there are tons of smart, hard-working people who would love to take their place.
@joshua1281 It is naive to think that money will not protect itself. The more you attack business, either through regulation or taxes, the more jobs that will be sent to areas where there can still be profits made. The top 10% already pay 70% of all taxes. How is that for fairness. I would think fairness, or shared sacrifice would mean the top 10% would only pay 10% of the total taxes. The only people squeezing this country are the politicians, they are the ones running jobs off.
@TheGhostrider420 you wrote"The top 10% already pay 70% of all taxes. How is that for fairness. I would think fairness, or shared sacrifice would mean the top 10% would only pay 10% of the total taxes. "
Sounds fair to me :-) !!!!
Until of course you consider that the top 10% of wage earners make up 90% of the nation's wealth LMAO!
@luvitluvitbaby I was just correcting your blatantly flawed statement. You focus on income, while the elites don't pay it. You are attacking young professionals, doctors and entrepreneurs who are trying to make it in the world, while ignoring that families like the Rockefellers are sitting on billions of dollars. If your point is that you want to attack the people who work but not the elites, then sure, I made your point. lol!!!!!
@AynRandFanJG I focus on the economy and the fact that I hear conservatives claim we have a spending problem when in fact its a revenue problem. Tax receipts are at a historic low and if you look at the actual data Obama's new spending only makes up 1.44 trillion of the 14.3 trillion dollar hole we are in! I'm not suggesting we go back to 70% tax rates, but to return to Clinton rates might not be such a bad idea in addition to reforming Social Security and Medicare!
@luvitluvitbaby You don't focus on the economy, you focus on the ability of the government to spend money. Big difference. At what point does it shift from a revenue problem to a spending problem? How much do you want the government to spend? Is $2.2 trillion not enough money per year?
@AynRandFanJG did you read anything I wrote in my last comment? You focus on how many tax breaks Republicans can give to wealthy corporations so they can lay more people off and give bonuses to their executives and stockholders! There are only two sectors, private and public. We know private won't hire unless there is demand. Demand will not increase unless someone starts hiring so the only other alternative is for the public sector to hire. If you got a better idea let's hear it!
@luvitluvitbaby Who said anything about "tax breaks Republicans can give to wealthy corporations"? My better idea is freedom, not coercion. Get the government out of distorting the market for political gain so people can led better and more prosperous lives. Liberalize the economy so everyone can benefit, not just those with political connections. The public sector can only hire by taking money away from the private sector. That's a failed strategy. It doesn't work.
@AynRandFanJG So you're saying WWII was failed? Because if I remember correctly Government spent big to the toon of debt that was about 120% of GDP the highest its ever been and much higher than it is now! As a result we ushered in the greatest economic expansion this country has ever seen and gradually paid down that debt over time. Check the record 1945-1980.
@luvitluvitbaby WWII was absolutely failed. How many American soldiers must die for something to be a success in your eyes? The economic expansion had to do with the fact that (1) out of a depression (2) we had the world's only industrialized economy that wasn't ravaged by war to supply the world and (3) we received an influx of the greatest talent in the world to help build our economy.
@AynRandFanJG You wrote "The public sector can only hire by taking money away from the private sector."
I can say the same for the private sector! The only way a private sector job can be created is by taking from the public sector!
The private sector uses public infrastructure to conduct business not to mention that private contracts TAKE AWAY public jobs!!!! Every POS transaction is an example of private business taking something away (money) to provide a service! So don't give me that B.S.
@luvitluvitbaby That's an irrational response. Private sector jobs depend on VOLUNTARY spending by people. They only pay for goods or services they value, hence value is created. Public sector jobs depend on coercion and the THEFT (involuntary) confiscation of money from the private sector.
@AynRandFanJG My response was no more irrational than your initial comment that triggered it!!!
Everything has a price whether private or public! In the private sector you pay at the point of sale for the service or product you are using. In thepublic sector you pay out of your paycheck as a tax for the services the public sector provide you everyday! I value both but you want to eliminate the public sector altogether. Name me one developed nation without a public sector rational guy lol!
@luvitluvitbaby I don't think you know the definition of rational.
In the free market you pay a price that is mutually agreeable by both the purchaser and the provider of the good or service. With the government, prices are determined through force and coercion. I don't pay for just the roads I use (because they monopolize it) with my Federal Income Taxes. I also pay for wars I don't agree with, spying, torturing, a drug war, corporatism, etc., all at inflated prices.
@AynRandFanJG you wrote "you know the definition of rational.
In the free market you pay a price that is mutually agreeable by both the purchaser and the provider of the good or service." With the government, prices are determined through force and coercion.
WRONG
In the public sector taxes are set by elected officials who can be voted out if they do not do the will of the people. Nothing is free we pay for the services we use collectively when we pay taxes!
@AynRandFanJG o.k. you do realize that there are civilizations on Earth that don't have a public sector right? It is also noted that they don't have a private sector either. They are indigenous populations that live in tropical jungles! They survive off the land. Is that what you are suggesting we become? The private sector cannot exist without the public sector, and if you disagree then name one society that has or had a private sector and no public sector in human history! Good luck LMAO!
@luvitluvitbaby Don't go off topic. I am suggesting we move toward a voluntary society, not a centrally planned, coerced society. The private sector can exist without the public sector, the public sector cannot exist without the private sector. Wealth is created in the private sector, it is destroyed in the public sector. Do you know the difference between correlation and causation?
Why are you doing backflips to defend the state? Are you more in love with warfare or welfare?
@AynRandFanJG o.k. dude you keep claiming that the private sector can exist without the public sector, but youy have giving me NO examples of this in practice!
The private sector cannot exist without the public sector and viece versa! The private sector needs the laws and structure of the public sector in order to function otherwise I could just steal from you. It needs public roads bridges and other services to operate.
The public sector needs private to help fund the services it gives!
@luvitluvitbaby The private sector spans governments. The private sector exists without governments. The private sector is nothing more than the voluntary trade between individuals. Government is non-essential to that end. This is why the black market exists even under the most oppressive government regimes. You can't stop voluntary association, and there is no greater wealth generator. Your belief in a public sector means you don't believe in individual freedom.
@AynRandFanJG dude the black market would not be black if not for government in the first place lol! For example, government makes the laws to make cocaine illegal! If the public sector did not exist cocaine would not be illegal. There would be no black market! The private sector could not function without logistics and laws. Logistics and laws are the domain of the public sector! Your rationale is here is severly flawed!
@luvitluvitbaby Do you not realize the folly in your statement? The black market is the private sector, it is only "black" because the government does not recognize it - hence, it exists irrespective of the public sector. Come on, surely you can see the contradiction in your own position, right? Beware calling out my rationale when it is yours that is rife with contradictions.
@AynRandFanJG It sounds to me like you are against the public sector all together. So you must all laws should be deleted including murder laws!
If you are against the public sector than I suggest you not use sidewalks or roads or city water. Hell you can't even order a pizza because the pizza guy has to drive on public roads to get it to you. When you use the toilet don't flush that's a public septic system you're using lol! Let the trash accumulate because you can't use the city dump ROFL!
@luvitluvitbaby You're going off on a silly tangent. You can have laws that protect liberty without arguing for public sector jobs. I'd be happy not to use sidewalks roads or city water if the government didn't enforce monopoly power over them, but I don't have that choice. That's like having the government take over all food production in the US and telling you that you don't have to eat. Your logic is all backward.
@AynRandFanJG wrong you can't have any laws! Remember you want to do away with the public sector! They are the ones who create and enforce laws!
You're using class warfare! Police are part of the public sector. You want to fire all police? I'm pretty sure their families will be thrilled! You want privately ownes sidewalks and streets lol! Great let the Saudi's by up all major roadways and charge you a $3.63 toll charge for every street you travel LMAO! Gas ain't the only thing they'll gouge!
@luvitluvitbaby You're becoming unhinged. You can most certainly have laws in a voluntary society.
Suggesting that I am using class warfare is moronic. I want everyone to be treated the same. You are the one who wants to tax certain people more in order to give to others. You're totally irrational.
@AynRandFanJG you wrote "You're becoming unhinged. You can most certainly have laws in a voluntary society."
O.K. give me an example of one, just one...one country, one state, one city it doesn't matter, just name me one!!
P.S. you are using class warfare when you advocate elliminaing a whole sector of workers who disproportionately are middle-class! They are hard working Americans with families to support just like those in the private sector!
@luvitluvitbaby There are no voluntary societies in the world because people want to control others. But at one time no one thought the world was round or that slavery was wrong. Would you have burned those people at the stake?
You are delusional if you think I am using class warfare by advocating a voluntary society. Delusional and irrational.
@AynRandFanJG LMAO a dulusional person calling someone delusional wow that's halarious!
Now.....to asnwer your question
Umm no and people in those times didn't either! You can't give me an example of a person being burned at a stake for believing the world is round or slavery is wrong.
Since we're debating ubsurd hypotheticals... Question.. someone claims if we detonate all nuclear war heads simutaniously we will come out of it unscaved, would you want to try it LMAO?
@AynRandFanJG uhh no try again... try the Dean's List actually. I get it, you have lost the debate on ideas so now you will resort to personal attacks lol!
@bogon5dot I think you are very very confused. Ayn Rand fans don't want to control anyone. They want to be free of control. They believe in voluntary interaction. If you think allowing people to be free is control then I guess war is peace.
@joshua1281 It is equally naive to think the Democrats are not just as entrenched in corporate donations as any other politician. All Rep. Schakowsky is doing here is further propagating the class warfare ruse so people like you don't pay attention to what people like her are really doing. It is called divide and conquer and you are being played like a fiddle. Where other than government can you do a horrible job for as little as two years and get lifetime benefits at the expense of others?
@TheGhostrider420 exactly...that's exactly what we need more jobs with more pensions! You wanna know why?
Because demand drives employment not tax rates! Some of our top corperations paid no taxes but laid people off!!
Business will only hire if the demand is there. The demand will only be there if people are working! Since the privcate market is not going to hire because there is NO demand the only one that is left is the public sector! Once they hire demand goes up and companies hire!
And this will be paid for how, this socialist needs to get out of the way of the provate sector

AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG
And what do people do who want to satisfy their greed and get a job to but stuff but can't because the corporate whores have shipped their jobs overseas to bolster their bottom line? You say government can't create jobs, well corporations WILL NOT create jobs unless they are in China or India paying $10 a week. Hows your "free market" working out for us so far?
diamondmask 6 months ago
@diamondmask You conflate free market with corporatism. The free market is what allows individuals to provide goods and services that others want at prices that make consumers happy. Nothing you have said gives any credence to the argument that government needs to steal from the people of America in order to create jobs.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@diamondmask Yup, GE perfect example and paid NO tax's. Friends of the government getting away with murder while we suffer. How about lowering the taxs for corporations, how about lowering the cost of labor. How about focusing on the true reasons why jobs go over seas. Its the regulastions that are killing jobs, EPA and their green house gas BS. Cap and TAX Coal plan will but shutdown loosing 3000 jobs, because of regulations. Its the fault of the Big Government mentality killing this country
daveh69 5 months ago
@plorenz88 When the FAA wasn't able to charge taxes to the airlines recently, airfare prices didn't drop...airlines just kept the prices the same and pocketed the difference. Wherever did your math go wrong in that case?
joshua1281 6 months ago
Good. The rich and the big corporations finally need to pay their fair share of taxes. They haven't for decades.
AttackGypsy 6 months ago
Well the rich job creators aren't creating jobs and haven't in a long time, unless you count the jobs created overseas. So why not tax the rich and create jobs doing infrastructure improvements here at home? Makes sense to me!!
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 Oh yes, let's steal from people because we can!!
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG We aren't STEALING anything. Asking the rich to pay their fair taxes is not stealing! And before anyone starts quoting irrelevant facts about how much the rich PAY in taxes lets be clear. The MIDDLE CLASS pay the most in taxes based off of percentage of wealth. I did not say INCOME. What the sheep repuglicant's always try to quote is INCOME. The rich don't have large amounts of income because most of their wealth is created by CAPITAL GAINS which is taxed at a lower rate. FAIR??
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 If you ask the rich to pay their "fair" share, and they refuse, then do you simply turn around and let them be? If not, you are STEALING. Taxation is THEFT. It is not voluntary. And if you are so concerned about wealth vs. income, then why do the idiots who talk about the rich paying their fair share focus on income taxes?
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG TAXATION is Theft? Your argument is now worthless based on that one comment. The 16th Amendment to the Constitution would state otherwise. So please move on...
And to add one point, if you don't want to pay taxes, don't! I don't want to see you drive a car on MY roads, send your kids to public school paid for by my taxes, or ask for help from a police officer, firefighter, or paramedic who is paid for by MY taxes. I can agree with most Paul supporters, but not you.
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 Just because theft is codified doesn't make it not theft. If I take your money from you is it theft? If so, why is it that the government can do the same but it is not theft? No need to move on, answer the contradiction. If the government can steal from you and it is not theft, can they kill you without it being murder?
They aren't your roads, you are a serf. They just allow you to use them. I would never send my kids to public schools. Why do you want my money so badly?
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG under your rationale we should just eliminate taxes all together...what the hell. abolish taxes because they are ILLEGAL!!!
Then if you want to travel to work BUY YOUR OWN ROADS!!!
If someone breaks into your house CATCH THE PERP YOURSELF. TRY EM IN YOUR OWN COURT AND SENTENCE THEM (LOCKEM IN YOUR BASEMENT PRISON!
CLEAN YOUR OWN STREETS AND PARKS!!!
FUCK IT!!! GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL CAN WORK FOR FREE etc etc LOL!!!!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby You're irrational. Roads existed before taxation, they exist today without taxation all over the world, as well. People can voluntarily fund law enforcement, this exists as well. There are private parks and clean streets in private neighborhoods. Don't lose it because you can't comprehend that taxation is theft.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG where???
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Roads - the US, Australia, Great Britain to name a few. Law enforcement, all over the united states in private communities. And just because the government tries to monopolize something doesn't mean that better alternatives don't exist. Taxation is theft, if you want to argue that theft is somehow justified, go for it, but it is still theft.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG give me the name of a specific highway lol! Interstate ?? Give me the name of a private police department in what community??
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Are you retarded? Have you ever heard of private toll roads? Have you ever heard of gated communities with their own police force? Or universities? Seriously, do you think before writing?
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG Now adding insults because people don't subscribe to your irrational thinking? "Are you retarded?"
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 It wasn't an insult, it was a sincere question.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG I think you need to learn history a little better. For example, the Romans built roads before, did it from TAXES and SLAVE labor. And your other points are just as useless. "Voluntarily fund police" So you want more corporations? So what happens when I don't pay my fee (TAX) for my local voluntary police department and I get assaulted. Do I just deal with it? If I am murdered and didn't pay my fee (TAX) is my family just SOL in getting justice?
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 You need to learn history a little better. Romans weren't the only ones building roads. And I'm glad you highlighted TAXES and SLAVEs because they are part of the same package. And I didn't say I wanted corporations, I just want a voluntary society where people aren't bullied by the state. You ask what happens when you don't pay your fee, well what happens when I don't pay your Tax. You MAY get assaulted, I WILL get assaulted. You have no concept of justice.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG and I said "for example" concerning the Romans.... Talking to the wall here. Let's agree to disagree and move on.
FrankG912 6 months ago
@FrankG912 So then you are admitting that confiscatory taxation isn't a precondition for roads to be built. Thanks for admitting that.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG and if I was poor how am I to use your private roads or private police? I need to get a job, but the only ones are across town on your private road. If I can't pay your fee (TAX) I will now be arrested by your private police paid for by your fee (TAX) that puts me in jail. Sounds like only the rich will ever win in your society. Remember the constitution says to "promote the general Welfare." Taxes help that. Now if you want to talk about eliminating unfair taxes, we can talk.
FrankG912 6 months ago
Just what we need, a plan to create 2 million government jobs and the pensions that go with them. Who will pay for it? The already over burdened American. Typical of this set to suggest that the means to get out of the hole is to dig it deeper.
TheGhostrider420 6 months ago
@TheGhostrider420 The American has never been less "burdened" by taxes in modern history. The biggest hole we have right now is employment and under-pay...corporate profits are at an all-time high, workers' share of wages at an all-time low, and employment is down. So I say, hell yeah, raise taxes on the guys who have been squeezing this country for decades. If they hate paying taxes so much, there are tons of smart, hard-working people who would love to take their place.
joshua1281 6 months ago
@joshua1281 It is naive to think that money will not protect itself. The more you attack business, either through regulation or taxes, the more jobs that will be sent to areas where there can still be profits made. The top 10% already pay 70% of all taxes. How is that for fairness. I would think fairness, or shared sacrifice would mean the top 10% would only pay 10% of the total taxes. The only people squeezing this country are the politicians, they are the ones running jobs off.
TheGhostrider420 6 months ago 2
@TheGhostrider420 you wrote"The top 10% already pay 70% of all taxes. How is that for fairness. I would think fairness, or shared sacrifice would mean the top 10% would only pay 10% of the total taxes. "
Sounds fair to me :-) !!!!
Until of course you consider that the top 10% of wage earners make up 90% of the nation's wealth LMAO!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Not true, the top 10% of wage earners make up 90% of the nation's income, not wealth. Big difference.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG thank you you have proven my point! lol!!!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby I was just correcting your blatantly flawed statement. You focus on income, while the elites don't pay it. You are attacking young professionals, doctors and entrepreneurs who are trying to make it in the world, while ignoring that families like the Rockefellers are sitting on billions of dollars. If your point is that you want to attack the people who work but not the elites, then sure, I made your point. lol!!!!!
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG I focus on the economy and the fact that I hear conservatives claim we have a spending problem when in fact its a revenue problem. Tax receipts are at a historic low and if you look at the actual data Obama's new spending only makes up 1.44 trillion of the 14.3 trillion dollar hole we are in! I'm not suggesting we go back to 70% tax rates, but to return to Clinton rates might not be such a bad idea in addition to reforming Social Security and Medicare!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby You don't focus on the economy, you focus on the ability of the government to spend money. Big difference. At what point does it shift from a revenue problem to a spending problem? How much do you want the government to spend? Is $2.2 trillion not enough money per year?
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG did you read anything I wrote in my last comment? You focus on how many tax breaks Republicans can give to wealthy corporations so they can lay more people off and give bonuses to their executives and stockholders! There are only two sectors, private and public. We know private won't hire unless there is demand. Demand will not increase unless someone starts hiring so the only other alternative is for the public sector to hire. If you got a better idea let's hear it!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Who said anything about "tax breaks Republicans can give to wealthy corporations"? My better idea is freedom, not coercion. Get the government out of distorting the market for political gain so people can led better and more prosperous lives. Liberalize the economy so everyone can benefit, not just those with political connections. The public sector can only hire by taking money away from the private sector. That's a failed strategy. It doesn't work.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG So you're saying WWII was failed? Because if I remember correctly Government spent big to the toon of debt that was about 120% of GDP the highest its ever been and much higher than it is now! As a result we ushered in the greatest economic expansion this country has ever seen and gradually paid down that debt over time. Check the record 1945-1980.
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby WWII was absolutely failed. How many American soldiers must die for something to be a success in your eyes? The economic expansion had to do with the fact that (1) out of a depression (2) we had the world's only industrialized economy that wasn't ravaged by war to supply the world and (3) we received an influx of the greatest talent in the world to help build our economy.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG You wrote "The public sector can only hire by taking money away from the private sector."
I can say the same for the private sector! The only way a private sector job can be created is by taking from the public sector!
The private sector uses public infrastructure to conduct business not to mention that private contracts TAKE AWAY public jobs!!!! Every POS transaction is an example of private business taking something away (money) to provide a service! So don't give me that B.S.
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby That's an irrational response. Private sector jobs depend on VOLUNTARY spending by people. They only pay for goods or services they value, hence value is created. Public sector jobs depend on coercion and the THEFT (involuntary) confiscation of money from the private sector.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG My response was no more irrational than your initial comment that triggered it!!!
Everything has a price whether private or public! In the private sector you pay at the point of sale for the service or product you are using. In thepublic sector you pay out of your paycheck as a tax for the services the public sector provide you everyday! I value both but you want to eliminate the public sector altogether. Name me one developed nation without a public sector rational guy lol!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby I don't think you know the definition of rational.
In the free market you pay a price that is mutually agreeable by both the purchaser and the provider of the good or service. With the government, prices are determined through force and coercion. I don't pay for just the roads I use (because they monopolize it) with my Federal Income Taxes. I also pay for wars I don't agree with, spying, torturing, a drug war, corporatism, etc., all at inflated prices.

@AynRandFanJG you wrote "you know the definition of rational.

WRONG
In the public sector taxes are set by elected officials who can be voted out if they do not do the will of the people. Nothing is free we pay for the services we use collectively when we pay taxes!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby All nations have a public sector, that doesn't make it right, or justified, or the funding of it in any way not theft.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG o.k. you do realize that there are civilizations on Earth that don't have a public sector right? It is also noted that they don't have a private sector either. They are indigenous populations that live in tropical jungles! They survive off the land. Is that what you are suggesting we become? The private sector cannot exist without the public sector, and if you disagree then name one society that has or had a private sector and no public sector in human history! Good luck LMAO!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Don't go off topic. I am suggesting we move toward a voluntary society, not a centrally planned, coerced society. The private sector can exist without the public sector, the public sector cannot exist without the private sector. Wealth is created in the private sector, it is destroyed in the public sector. Do you know the difference between correlation and causation?
Why are you doing backflips to defend the state? Are you more in love with warfare or welfare?
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG o.k. dude you keep claiming that the private sector can exist without the public sector, but youy have giving me NO examples of this in practice!
The private sector cannot exist without the public sector and viece versa! The private sector needs the laws and structure of the public sector in order to function otherwise I could just steal from you. It needs public roads bridges and other services to operate.
The public sector needs private to help fund the services it gives!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby The private sector spans governments. The private sector exists without governments. The private sector is nothing more than the voluntary trade between individuals. Government is non-essential to that end. This is why the black market exists even under the most oppressive government regimes. You can't stop voluntary association, and there is no greater wealth generator. Your belief in a public sector means you don't believe in individual freedom.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG dude the black market would not be black if not for government in the first place lol! For example, government makes the laws to make cocaine illegal! If the public sector did not exist cocaine would not be illegal. There would be no black market! The private sector could not function without logistics and laws. Logistics and laws are the domain of the public sector! Your rationale is here is severly flawed!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby Do you not realize the folly in your statement? The black market is the private sector, it is only "black" because the government does not recognize it - hence, it exists irrespective of the public sector. Come on, surely you can see the contradiction in your own position, right? Beware calling out my rationale when it is yours that is rife with contradictions.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG It sounds to me like you are against the public sector all together. So you must all laws should be deleted including murder laws!
If you are against the public sector than I suggest you not use sidewalks or roads or city water. Hell you can't even order a pizza because the pizza guy has to drive on public roads to get it to you. When you use the toilet don't flush that's a public septic system you're using lol! Let the trash accumulate because you can't use the city dump ROFL!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby You're going off on a silly tangent. You can have laws that protect liberty without arguing for public sector jobs. I'd be happy not to use sidewalks roads or city water if the government didn't enforce monopoly power over them, but I don't have that choice. That's like having the government take over all food production in the US and telling you that you don't have to eat. Your logic is all backward.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG wrong you can't have any laws! Remember you want to do away with the public sector! They are the ones who create and enforce laws!
You're using class warfare! Police are part of the public sector. You want to fire all police? I'm pretty sure their families will be thrilled! You want privately ownes sidewalks and streets lol! Great let the Saudi's by up all major roadways and charge you a $3.63 toll charge for every street you travel LMAO! Gas ain't the only thing they'll gouge!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby You're becoming unhinged. You can most certainly have laws in a voluntary society.
Suggesting that I am using class warfare is moronic. I want everyone to be treated the same. You are the one who wants to tax certain people more in order to give to others. You're totally irrational.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG you wrote "You're becoming unhinged. You can most certainly have laws in a voluntary society."
O.K. give me an example of one, just one...one country, one state, one city it doesn't matter, just name me one!!
P.S. you are using class warfare when you advocate elliminaing a whole sector of workers who disproportionately are middle-class! They are hard working Americans with families to support just like those in the private sector!
luvitluvitbaby 6 months ago
@luvitluvitbaby There are no voluntary societies in the world because people want to control others. But at one time no one thought the world was round or that slavery was wrong. Would you have burned those people at the stake?
You are delusional if you think I am using class warfare by advocating a voluntary society. Delusional and irrational.
AynRandFanJG 6 months ago
@AynRandFanJG LMAO a dulusional person calling someone delusional wow that's halarious!
Now.....to asnwer your question
Umm no and people in those times didn't either! You can't give me an example of a person being burned at a stake for believing the world is round or slavery is wrong.
Since we're debating ubsurd hypotheticals... Question.. someone claims if we detonate all nuclear war heads simutaniously we will come out of it unscaved, would you want to try it LMAO?

@joshua1281 It is equally naive to think the Democrats are not just as entrenched in corporate donations as any other politician. All Rep. Schakowsky is doing here is further propagating the class warfare ruse so people like you don't pay attention to what people like her are really doing. It is called divide and conquer and you are being played like a fiddle. Where other than government can you do a horrible job for as little as two years and get lifetime benefits at the expense of others?
TheGhostrider420 6 months ago
@TheGhostrider420 Class warfare is not a ruse you idiot. It's being propagated every single day by the rich.
