It runs at 40FPS with the graphics to the max, 2X AA, 1024 x 760 resolution. It lags a lot in the 1st 30 minutes of gameplay but after that it's alright.

GTA IV runs at 30 FPS locked, graphics to the minimum except textures and reflections which are on medium. 1024 x 768 res. But you should be able to run it much better since the 9400GT is pure failure wile the 9500GT is damn awesome.

a 3.00Ghz Pentium 4 is Equal to a Dual core of 2.0ghz Speed..try going to 4.0ghz with your pentium 4, and you should be good for a little bit stil. But i highly recommend a Dual core with 2.7Ghz+ In speed, come on guys! more then 1 core is amazing.
There is a huge difference between a Core 2 Duo 2.00 Ghz and a Intel pentium 4 3.00Ghz!!!
In terms of arimethic and dataflow performance. I have both such systems, with both mid-range cards. 2GB ram. and yes, i can see the difference already in playing bioshock, assasins creed.
The pentium 4 even with HT enabled isnt gonna do the job anymore for nowadays games. Dual-Core is rly the minimum and since all platforms and software is very good optimized for multi-core.
Welcome in the 21st century! The 9600gso is a great card and we all know how core 2 duo fly through everything. Now you will finally realize how your old pc sucked. :P
I have an 2.80ghz pentinum 4 and a NVIDIA g-Force fx 5950 Ultra with 256 mb does the Game work without lags?

Pentium 4 = the most kickass single-core Intel processor ever.
Combined with high-end graphics cards, it can run most new games with decent frame rates. >;D

Intel Core i5-661 (2 Cores)
4GB DDR3 RAM
GeForce 9400 GT 1GB (same as the old PC)
