Considering they're entirely different game genres, I don't know how YOU personally find one better than the other. I love a lot of games because it's hard to find games that are played exactly the same. Something like World of Warcraft vs. The Old Republic could have a "better" depending on your tastes, but not Bastion vs. Skyrim.

But whatever makes you feel good about yourself I guess. People just love playing games, doesn't matter if Bastion is better or not.

Personally I see the effects of both games.

Your actions have a LOT more consequences depending on what you do in Skyrim, especially compared to Morrowind, and even better than Oblivion although Oblivion did it a bit too. It's just that Skyrim is your own adventure, you decide what to do and what decisions are right.

Bastion is more focused on the impact of things you HAVE to do and a final, incredibly important choice, along with massive emotional impact.

Both are incredible.

Skyrim is massively overrated, monotonous, and repetitive.

The combat boils down to "whack it until it dies", it's extremely easy to exploit the level system to become retardedly overpowered, the dialogue/voice acting is incredibly bland, and the UI is absolute garbage.

It's not a terrible game, but it's far from great.

Oh, and proof enough that rewards shows dont mean a thing is that MW3 won shooter of the year. That makes me LOLOLOL.

@Grim3456 Skyrim combat: walk into a group of enemies and whack at them with your sword, hammer, whatever (doesn't matter, every weapon behaves the same way anyway) until they keel over as they mindlessly run at you doing the exact same thing.

Skyrim rewards high stats and good gear. Bastion rewards finesse and mastering a weapons strong and weak points.

Increased difficulty in Bastion isnt just "buff health and damage", it changes the enemies behavior, forcing yours to change with it.
