I traveled with my 90yr old grandma across the country so she could see the rest of her family while she is able to. Even though she was in a wheelchair and I said she can't stand up or walk without pain and assistance, they made her stand up anyway. Even in Auschwitz people were able to escape, even in the most secure prisons drugs and weapons still get in. Personally I don't think the intentions were really draconian. I think the airport owners wanted to make the people feel save after 911 cause it was really bad for business so they put up these arbitrary safety measures for cost saving and this is the result.

Yes, as the show host said, this does infuriate me. Why would anyone carry a large container of applesauce on a short flight and then wrestle with TSA agents when told she couldn't take it onto the aircraft? This woman acted in hostile manner, with TSA agents only responding to that.
I have special needs, travel frequently (again tomorrow), and declare those needs when purchasing the ticket. I've consistent;y received excellent treatment, world-wide, as a result.

I traveled with my 90yr old grandma across the country so she could see the rest of her family while she is able to. Even though she was in a wheelchair and I said she can't stand up or walk without pain and assistance, they made her stand up anyway. So I went to hold my arm out so she would have support and they got really mad and said she had to stand there by herself! That is total bullshit!

my mom brought cut up lobster,cookie,ham in can, ketchup,mayo, and other food in those big long cooler thing and they let my family go through without any problem... and in the hand carry luggage i stock up some 5 pack of bubble gum, cookie,and other snack and it went through all fine. and i even get to carry it on the airplane without any problem and it was at LAX airport wow thing change over 1 yr fast -.-" and it was during christmas in 2010 heading to go to VN to our vacation house. lol

I wonder if putting pressure on state govt. reps. might change some of the more distasteful measures that are in place in some/most airports. For obvious reasons, I feel that women are more victimized than men, but the process can be very uncomfortable for both. I don't see Obama changing anything about airport screening. Any changes made will be the result of peoples efforts.

So the best you can hope for today in America, when you're not found guilty (in spite of the best efforts to drudge up a guilty verdict) after being wrongly harassed and accused by officials, and drained of your money through the courts, is to be told "Stay out of trouble!"??? Not even a refund and compensation for time lost?
The REAL war on freedom has been lost. While we were being distracted by foreign "enemies", we forgot to be vigilant against the domestic ones, the truly dangerous ones.

@ComPost007 That's exactly what they wanted. This is no longer FOR THE PEOPLE. The govt sets itself ABOVE as if they are a separate entity from 'civilians' - its' a disgrace to our founding fathers.

@ComPost007 It is time for the people to start using their local county Grand Juries to start indicting the government employees for public misconduct. Our founders put a check and balance in our system of government to hold our government accountable when they violate the people's rights. Our courts have tried to sweep grand juries under the rug and pretend they don't exist. Time for the Grand Jury revolution on TSA and the bad police all across America!
